Impressive amount of raindrops on webs after the heavy rain this week but I'm curious what negative impacts there are for spiders coping with rain like this. Does it impact the stickiness of the web? Risk of flooding for funnelwebs? @BritishSpiders @NHarnser

This wee beastie was crawling on the ceiling in Scotland - East Lothian. A small fellow who I thought was a juvenile but what do I know. They've got good and hairy legs!

Porrhoclubiona genevensis is a smart-looking member of the Clubionidae (sac spiders). In UK, records are few and come from grassland and heaths of rocky coastal areas, such as Cornwall, Scillies Isles and Welsh islands. It can be found by looking amongst scree and under stones.
