One of the biggest drivers of global climate change and biodiversity loss is the conversion of natural land into agricultural land. Meaning, organic farming may globally lead to more net harm than local good. (3)

Gene-editing provides a unique solution to organic farming: modifying crops to grow better without the use of agricultural chemicals, increasing crop yield and quality. But the EU will have to change legislation if they want to use biotechnology to increase sustainability. (4)

Growing Under the Rainbow π π± has started!
Over 1100 students from 55 classes grades 2-12 all across FL, are learning to become scientists! π§¬π¬
Mint cuttings will be rooted under red, blue, green, and white LEDs and growth will be measured for a few weeks!
