Thanks to all of you who have generously donated to @MindCharity as part of the @CIHhousing#shinealight campaign. Covid 19 has brought with it a mental health crisis and your support is needed more than ever. Any support you can give would be brilliant

The big news is out that I’ll step down from @GrandUnionHG when we merge with @LonghurstGroup.
It’s been the privilege of my life to lead an amazing organisation; the decision to leave has been the most difficult one. I’m eternally grateful to my wonderful colleagues who work
@Bushbell and @Juliecdoyle came together yesterday to announce that Grand Union and @LonghurstGroup will be merging.
The two organisations will form a 37,000 home social landlord, with a new name and brand, in December this year.

…work so hard to provide good homes and services to our customers. They’ll take their compassion and commitment into the new organisation and make it great too.
I’ll still be around in the sector though - there’s still so much to do!

If a 21yo rents a single room in London at today's rate, they will have put more than £100,000 into their landlords bank account by the time they reach their 30th birthday.
This is why young people don't have mortgage deposits or pension plans. We are other peoples'.
🏠Housing is a hot political topic. It was great to see that momentum continued at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool this week. Check out our dispatches from the conference over on LinkedIn ⬇️ linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…#ukhousing

We know the importance of suicide prevention. Just because #WorldSuicidePreventionDay is over, it doesn't mean we should stop talking about it.
Be part of the change, encourage open and honest conversations about suicidal feelings, and help us continue the fight to save lives.
ALT "We'll keep the conversation going 365 days a year and continue the fight to save lives."
Great to share a platform with @Dan4Barnet at #Labour24 Fringe on how building the homes we need can drive growth & give more fiscal headroom. Expertly chaired by @rachaelwHsg and planned by @bobbiehough and the team at @HoughBellis.
Thank you so much to @PlusDane for hosting

Did you know the gender pay gap between men and childfree women is pretty small, the gap widens hugely when you take into account mothers. There is a motherhood gap
Something so satisfying about this man’s refusal to take the bait with the usual leading questions on migration. Just calmly & stubbornly fair-minded, straightforward, no nonsense answers in a perfect Wexford accent right in the middle of the town. 10/10
Last night I woke up in terror to what sounded like a motorbike engine running outside our bedroom door. I got up to see what was happening (Mr B stayed solidly asleep as usual).
Ch3 was on the landing with the hoover running at full suction. 1/3
She was trying to catch a spider she’d encountered when she got up to the loo. Of course she was, it’s an entirely normal thing to be doing at 2.10 a.m.
I’ve bought her a bug hoover that is small, quiet and detains bugs long enough to enable them to be deposited outside…..2/3
