It's London Tech Week, and the Conservative team has been out meeting some of Britain's most dynamic tech companies and entrepreneurs. But too many of our best people and businesses are being driven abroad because Labour is getting the fundamentals wrong - on tax, energy, regulation and defence - while their envy politics treats successful people with suspicion. We worked in government to build a great tech ecosystem - the UK tech sector became the third largest in the world. We set up respected bodies like UKRI, ARIA and AISI, kept us out of cumbersome EU tech laws and got conditions right for an incredible talent pipeline of brilliant people that truly sustains the industry today. Right now in government, there is political paralysis with departments pulling in opposite directions. Our Shadow Cabinet is working together to give Britain’s companies the tools they need to win in a fiercely competitive world. If we lose the entrepreneurs, scientists and innovators that drive prosperity, politics will become little more than a fight over a shrinking pie.

Starmer talks tough but fails to deliver.❌ His own MPs are telling him he must do more to protect our country, but he isn't listening.🚫 The PM has no plan and no backbone. 🔵 Only the Conservatives have a credible plan to shift cash out of welfare and into our defence, putting the national interest first.

These cases should never be heard. The immigration tribunal should be scrapped. Human rights laws swept away. And immigration decisions made by ministers should be final.

Defence keeps us safe and buys us influence. We have not spent nearly enough to shape our future and now accounting tricks are hiding the truth. There’s no increase in defence spending, that’s why we’re being pushed around.

The PM asked the Defence Secretary and Minister of the Armed Forces to preside over the death of the @RoyalNavy and they both said, “no”.
