Today, the Westfield Mayor’s Council on Disabilities (WMCD) announced a change in leadership. Nicole Southerland will succeed WMCD founder Joanne Tedesco as her family moves out of state. Nicole is a 30-year Westfield resident and Director at CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions.

With support from @LifeAtPurdue, @CICOA was able to utilize community health workers as part of their care team to help lower hospital admissions and improve service delivery for those aging or with a disability! Community Health Workers are awesome!

During their Older Adults class, 2nd year students had the opportunity to hear from CICOA to discuss being a Dementia Friend! Students received Dementia Friends pins at the end of a training course. We can't thank CICOA enough for coming to talk with us!

Closings and service updates due to winter weather: On Friday, Dec. 23, all CICOA neighborhood meal sites will be closed, and Way2Go transportation will not be operating. Additionally, the CICOA office building will be closed, and staff will be working remotely until noon.
