Most transformations fail not because teams don't know what to do, but because they can't diagnose WHY it's not working. CIRCA-CLEAR adds the missing diagnostic layer.

Product development is emergent. Organizations are complex adaptive systems, they are not predictable. There is no knowable straight path from an organisations' current condition to the desired outcome. #BVSSH

A system of work in which everyone is working all of the time is very inefficient. A focus on individual busyness has the opposite effect to that desired, in that lead time rises exponentially as utilization increases #BVSSH

Wise words via @jimdwan "A process is our shared understanding of the current best way of doing something. Everyone has two jobs. Follow it and find a better way. Then share it." #Lean #ThinkingMinds

@Selfridges just been into your Birmingham store to solve the inflated website pricing. £148 jumps to £185 in basket. Your local team unable to help

Local team also got same pricing this AM. But couldn't assist. So 15 mins with @Selfridges customer services...with no resolution. Asked to speak to manager, 5 minutes on hold, then disconnected. #CustomerService a bit more than cr@p. @MartinSLewis any thoughts?

Common sense, unfortunately lost on so many. @davefarley77 we chatted about this at @Aginextio #london a few years back

My best advice is very closely related: reduce your iteration cycle time as much as possible. If it takes you 2 minutes to type build test a change, you can get 240 'useful actions' done in a full 8 hour day. With 10-min iterations: 48 actions. 30-min iterations: 16.

What an interesting conversation I've just had about #designthinking & #scrum Interesting, the people I chatted with were adamant that the two aren't complementary. Whereas I see the one strong in ideation, the other in iterative building. So why not combine both? #agile

Leaders and stakeholders unable to see the wood for the trees. Everything is a priority, so nothing is. As my whiteboard reminds those who see me on Zoom. It's one of the biggest challenges. Get ruthless. Do you really need X, it had to live before Xmas, it's 3 months late?

Wierd. I've been running an experiment. One of my Twitter accounts I comment, tweet and support others. Another account I don't do any of that stuff. The first (@AGILEartisan) has increased by 3 followers. The second (@PPMpractitioner) increased by 30 Hypothesis failure!

Managing WIP is like playing a game of Jenga... Not only do you need to balance the blocks just right or the whole thing will come crashing down. Try pulling out more than one block... It messes with your head (hand / eye coordination)

Demolished the last of my Jute Session IPA last night. In the haziness, I reminisced of the days of another Yorkshire class act, Mathers Black Beer... @SaltBeerFactory

Unearthed a truly excellent article on @johncutlefish blog, The Beautiful Mess, titled 'We need someone who has done "it" before'. Much resonates. As someone who's sorted out "it" in 1 year, having never done "it" before. I replaced 3 who'd done "it"; but failed during 6 years

It needs repeating, repeatedly. Agile is a means to an end, not an end in itself. I've just come across another large (German) firm "deploying" #Agile by "implementing" #Scrum to "deliver" #businessagility Will they be extending beyond the basics of agile? Will it work out?

Apparently, we know that... "What worked in the past will not work in the future" So, why do so many organisations still advocate systems that were established a century ago?

Done. A 2,500-word article on simplifying complexity and complicatedness; with agile and agility thinking, through guidance from the Greek philosopher, Socrates. Just need a succinct title. Any thoughts? #Agile #BusinessAgility #SocraticQuestioning

Don't you hate it when you buy top notch kit & it fails. Arrived today my @elgato Key Light Mini. 800 lumen of portable power, to bolster my other Key Lights. Plugged it in to my Anker 2.4a charger, nothing. Apple charger nothing. Several chargers, cables, etc no lights no action
