He’s right. Not every presentation style or mode of teaching works for everyone. Students should be able to make choices that best suit their needs.
I’m often asked: which courses should I take? My reply: the instructor matters more than the subject. Choose teachers who sharpen your mind. Facts you can gather yourself; the ability to connect them requires training. UChicago’s new policy will make that harder.
