.@NCTC_Kenya convened stakeholders in Kitui County from 26–28 May 2026 to review and align the County Action Plan (CAP) with the #NSPCVE. The workshop brought together government officials, security actors, civil society organisations, youth representatives, religious leaders, and community groups to strengthen local efforts in preventing and countering violent extremism. Discussions focused on adapting national priorities to Kitui’s context, assessing progress made under the outgoing CAP, identifying emerging challenges, and developing a more responsive and inclusive action plan. Participants also explored ways to strengthen coordination, enhance early warning and response mechanisms, and promote meaningful engagement of youth, women, and community leaders. The review marks an important step towards building resilient communities through evidence-based, locally driven solutions and a whole-of-society approach to PCVE.
