CA Budget Act 2025 is clear: Full funding for the CSU so that it can fulfill its mission to students and commitments to staff. We greatly appreciate Legislators
@AsmMikeGipson @AsmMuratsuchi for leading the call for the CSU to Keep Your Promise.
Teamsters Local 2010, the California Faculty Association (CFA), the California State University Employees Union (CSUEU), and other unions that collectively represent 80,000 workers at California State University (CSU) held a press conference and rallied to expose the university’s plans to break its contractual promises to union workers.
Despite receiving full funding in the 2025 state budget, CSU management has notified the labor unions representing university workers that they will not be able to provide the salary step increases and cost-of-living adjustments agreed upon in their respective collective bargaining agreements. Local 2010, CFA, and CSUEU have all filed unfair labor practice (ULP) charges against CSU for anti-worker actions and violating collective bargaining agreements.
