The article is bad because it falls into the same trap it claims others do. Also it bases its reading of Weil on Gravity & Grace which is not hers, but a cherry-picked collection of discontinuous fragments by a Vichy sympathizer. Also, she was not a "virulent anti-Semite".

That's a shitty and incompetent reading of her critique of Judaism and of fascism. It's like claiming she was racist against Italians because of her critique of Rome or a Hindu supremacist because she praises the Bhagavad Gita.

Weil and her readers deserve better than this warmed over misogyny of past men who wrote biographies of her.
Weil scholars don't consider Gravity & Grace to be a useful source for her thought. And this is a terrible misreading of The Need for Roots.
