🏳️🌈 As we celebrate Pride Month, we honor the courage, resilience, and leadership of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and Two-Spirit, (LGBTQIA2S ) communities whose advocacy has helped build a more just and inclusive society.
June marks the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising of 1969—a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQIA2S rights led by trailblazers such as Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Their legacy continues to inspire efforts to advance equity, dignity, and belonging for all.
At the Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI), we recognize the invaluable contributions of LGBTQIA2S communities to California's past, present, and future. Together, we remain committed to creating healthier, safer, and more sustainable communities where everyone can thrive.
🌈 We're also proud to join colleagues from the California Natural Resources Agency and partner agencies at the Sacramento Pride March on June 14. We look forward to celebrating alongside staff, allies, friends, and family as we show our support for the LGBTQIA2S community and reaffirm our commitment to inclusion across state government.
