I want to know why Steyer has never been allowed at the Democrats' cool kids table. I am curious.

pretty insane for a sitting congressmen to admit that they’d rather Becerra run against a republican over a democrat which could boost republican turnout in November this is disqualifying and should enrage every democrat in the state

The stock market had rough go of it today. But it is a reminder that 99 percent of investment advice on this app is after the fact explaining, not before the fact predicting.

It always jars me to re-realize just how large of a metro Chicago is.
Reminder that Hammond, Indiana is much closer to Chicago than Arlington Heights. 16 miles by car vs 36 by car to Arlington Racetrack

If true, her affair would be older than Platner himself. The debates that can trigger, are endless. Also, nightmares.
Krystal Ball: “There’s things that suggest Susan Collins had an affair in the 70’s. Have we had any reporting about that? No. Graham Platner challenges power, he challenges the oligarchy and he challenges the powers that be on Israel. We know that is a recipe for people coming after you and doing whatever they can to tarnish you and ultimately take you down”

Me, when looking at a new YouTube video genre that intrigues me: I'm just looking for a good time, not a commitment.
My YouTube algorithm is unbelievably narrow. Why am I only suggested the same 15 videos from the same 5 creators? This is a site with millions of creators and more than 5 billion videos.

You want to know the bitch of it all for Republicans? If he runs, they have already vetted Hunter Biden.

This is like watching Ken Burn's Baseball. It was a 18.5 hour long slide show, but you just kept watching it, hoping for something to get exciting. 18.5 hours of my life. I never get that back. Gone forever.

It is because many in Iowa can't afford beef.
Perusing yesteday's primary results, California had the sizzle but Iowa, the beef. At the end of the day, the CA races are most likely to yield predictable results. But for the 1st time in years, IA will have competitive races that may help determine who controls House & Senate.

If Tom Steyer looked like Tom Cruise, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Sorry, but it is true. You can be short and handsome, or large and less than Brad Pitt. It is hard to win elections not being at least one.
Liberals in California didn't vote for Steyer because he's just one billionaire, instead of 10 billionaires and 12 corporations in a trench coat.

A good many people will look at this and try to find the mathematical pattern from the numbers correct on the photo itself.

California has always been more woke liberal than labor liberal.
Pennsylvania and New Jersey both individually having more Squad members than California. What does this mean.

The Earth, Wind, and Fire foreign policy plan.
Labor day… in SEPTEMBER?!

Basically someday Aldi will be awarded a Presidential Medal of Freeedom.

Get that stuff on the right buying Aldi brand and legit be at $4 per burger at home-which is still bonkers.
This doesn’t work in 2026

It actually won't be harder-at all.
Man. Heart goes out to Fort Worth Stars fans, because this makes it almost impossible to go to games. Also, I get that staying at AAC wasn't as desirable, but with the Stars to Plano, 1/4 of the "Dallas" area teams aren't actually in Dallas. Bummer.

Cities might want to sue to keep their name from being used. The Stars want to be in Plano? Fine. Be the Plano Stars. But I believe this was all made possible by the Silver Line, connecting Plano through Addison and, via connections, up through Irving/Las Colinas and DFW.
I cannot believe that Dallas will not have any of the major sports teams that bare its name - the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks, now the Dallas Stars. Also, suburban arenas have failed many times over. Curious how this works out for both the Stars and Mavs...

How is SNL supposed to compete with real life these days?
No better day to ride the D (train) than election day.

"Dad, I know she is only 99, but she is totes mature for her age!"
I disagree. Maximum human lifespan has hardly changed in 30 years. The oldest person alive today, Ethel Caterham, is 116, a long way short of setting a record (122). Only 4 people have ever gone past 117. Increasing average lifespan does not lead to increased maximum lifespan. It would take genetic engineering to change this.

There is a difference between knowing data and knowing politics. Let's imagine what 10 years from now could look like: "Leading re-election by 20 points, President Platner waves off D.C. Chili Bowl brawl, says Yankee fan got rude with wife, handsy with girlfriend."
Our modeling has Platner at a ~D 4 result based on the data we had *pre-sexting scandal*. I'd strongly take the under on that and I'm not even sure he's a favorite to win the seat. The other thing with these types of candidates is that there's always more that gets dredged up.

I don't know if people realize that the Platner scandals will do less to derail his campaign for Senate than it will to boost an eventual run for the White House.
Unironically, Graham Platner shouldn’t stop at the Senate. He should be president, to be honest. He’s the one who can’t be blackmailed.
