Concrete barriers will be placed near the centerline of the two-lane roadway in order to provide protection for workers performing emergency repairs in the westbound lanes. GBPD has been dispatched to a “suspicious device” call near Le Sage and Highway 1. Officers have confirmed the presence of the device, and have secured the area. The SLO Sheriff Bomb Squad is en route. Roadways around the area have been closed including the Grand Ave entrance to the Oceano Dunes. We will provide more information as soon as possible.

For the safety of the traveling public, Caltrans crews cleared an encampment site along US 101 near the northbound Garden on ramp in Santa Barbara County, removing 40 cubic yards of debris. The one individual impacted were offered assistance by our local social service partners.
