If you are a man & have not looked at the content of attacks on women politicians, do so. The level, intensity, violence & vileness is extreme & unacceptable. We must work together to counter it on #InternationalWomensDay & through this year of elections. bsg.ox.ac.uk/blog/strengthen…
ALT Ngaire Woods, founding Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government, with a quote which says:
"On International Women's Day, while we celebrate and shine a light on the seismic achievements of women around the world, we must also look carefully at where these are threatened. One urgent area for concern, in a year of so many elections, is the rising intensity and violence of threats being faced by women political leaders. In a year of elections, we must protect women's freedom to run and represent,
or we will risk a backsliding of democracy."
So grateful to @RoryStewartUK for speaking to students, staff and faculty @BlavatnikSchool Devastating critique of where we are in this age of populism along with a passionate call to reinvigorate our political systems.
Delighted to be selected as the prospective Lib Dem candidate for Bicester and Woodstock. The next General Election offers voters here a straight choice between the Lib Dems and the Tories. I will be a strong, local voice, standing up for my community. bit.ly/Calum_Miller_for_Bice…

Delighted to welcome the brilliant @kathyhall127 to @BlavatnikSchool in May. Can’t believe it’s been over a decade since I joined this amazing place. Looking forward to the next chapter.
So thrilled that @kathyhall127 is joining us in May as Chief Operating Officer (freeing @CalumAMiller to lead on specific programs). Kathy is a fantastic public leader who will help @Blavatnikschool go from strength to strength.
This #InternationalWomensDay, I'm thinking of all the amazing role models in women's sport who inspire my daughters, my sons, me and thousands of others every day. They are challenging gender stereotypes and changing lives every time they take to the pitch. #LetGirlsPlay
Quick reminder to @RishiSunak that Whitehall reorganisations are usually expensive and rarely productive. @NAOorguk "The decisions to reorganise departments ... are often taken at short notice and with inadequate understanding of what could go wrong." nao.org.uk/reports/reorganis…
Reshuffling FOUR departments is not trivial. It may look like it gives govt more "focus" on key priorities, but the immediate impact will be negative for impact/ outcomes. Disruption is not good by definition; change needs to be well managed by design. This has not been.
Feel like we need to improve government? Come and join us. *6* great jobs available @BlavatnikSchoolbsg.ox.ac.uk/work-us Special shout out to any qualitative researchers: help us with innovative evaluation of our new programme for senior UK officials. bsg.ox.ac.uk/job-research-as…
I'll never forget the day Doddie Weir stooped under the doorframe into my English class at school. I was 11 and in awe. He was a giant in every respect. A commanding presence on the pitch and a source of amazing inspiration off it, especially these last six years. RIP.
Well, what else should a 12 year old @GABRFCYouth do between matches at a rugby festival? Thanks for being his inspiration @BrianODriscoll - he told me that, if he ever visits Paris, he’ll get an omelette and chips but not the wine at the place you “visited” 🤢!
Great entertainment in #SCOvARG@finn_russell just outstanding: reverse pass, delayed flat pass, grubber through to score, 50m touch finder - and the sense not to get involved in a brawl. We’ve missed him @Scotlandteam#AsOne
