The session introduced participants to practical ways of identifying misinformation and disinformation, spotting coordinated online campaigns, and understanding how false information spreads quickly across platforms like WhatsApp, TikTok, and Facebook. Participants also took part in the "Spot the Fake" group challenge, a practical session designed to test their verification and fact-checking skills. Working in groups, participants analysed pictures, videos, and news reports to identify what was real and what was misleading.
