A truly epic day. Very proud to have run the London marathon in exactly 4 hours (to the second according to the official race timing), albeit my watch thought I was slightly quicker!

Cancer52 sends our best wishes to Ashley Dalton MP as she steps back from her ministerial duties for health reasons. Our thanks for her brilliant work, alongside her colleagues in the DHSC, in developing the National Cancer Plan for England recently.
I have taken the decision to step down from my ministerial responsibilities to allow me to focus on my job representing you, the people of West Lancashire, while I continue to receive oral chemotherapy treatment.

It is Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Week.
Five out of the six cancers – brain, liver, oesophageal, pancreatic and stomach – are rare and less common.
Like many rare and less common cancers, the less survivable cancers typically have less investment in research.
