Genuinely delighted to join Professor @PhillipsLab at University College London as a research fellow. Many thanks to @scienceirel and @CDTLifETIME for giving me this unique opportunity; looking forward to collaborating with new scientists and expanding my professional network.
My work with the #LifETimeCDT is aimed towards understanding what these mechanical and structural changes mean for cancer cells. By understanding why cancer cells do so well in this environment will help to inform treatment avenues for difficult BC.
#lifetimetc23
#breastcancer is the most diagnosed female cancer. Unfortunately for many, treatment options are extremely limited. Key features of difficult to treat BC is stiffening and changes to protein arrangement; going from curly and randomly arranged to linear and organised
#lifetimetc23
Fung shui matters – Cells care about the arrangement of their environment. In breast cancer, how proteins are arranged is predictive of prognosis.

I can't believe I'm sitting in the @CDTLifETIME 3 Minute Thesis training session ran by @JamieBGall 😵 Crazy to think how far we have come @CdtStudents! Feeling very grateful for you all today 💚 #phdchat
This was such an enjoyable event - exceeded all expectations @CDTLifETIME@CdtStudents are the best. I really hope this event forms a good foundation for CDT #PPIE :)
We’re excited to be holding our event today: Research Together: Patients Guiding the Future of Science at @UofGlasgow@DalbyMatthew will now provide the audience with an overview of @CDTLifETIME
It’s always a treat when the @CDTLifETIME get together 🤩 this time round joined by patients for our Research Together: Patients Guiding the Future of Science event! #researchtogether
We are delighted to be attending Research Together today in Glasgow. The event which is organised by the @CDTLifETIME, brings patients and scientists together, to allow patients to learn about cutting-edge science while also helping scientists to understand patient experiences.
Our next talk is from @ElaineDoesBio who will talk about her @UofGlasgow project titled: Diabetes in a dish: Developing a 3D model of fat tissue for drug discovery. #researchtogether
Our next talk is from @ml_vieri who will talk about her @UofGlasgow project titled: Using animal-free 3D models of cartilage and bone to study arthritic diseases.
#researchtogether
Our next session will kick off with a video from our @CdtStudents who will provide an overview of what a day in the life of a @CDTLifETIME student looks like.
