Hey @BSLForCongress I heard your signatures are being challenged. How many of your circulators don’t even live in the community? Heard there was misinformation and lies being spread to get people to sign something that people don’t even know what they’re signing on.

It’s criminal that this 50-acre CHA site in Little Italy has sat vacant for 20 years while Chicago faces a housing crisis. An entire generation of Chicagoans missed out on opportunities for homeownership and rental housing, businesses missed out on customers, and the city missed out on millions in tax revenue. Twenty years of inaction is just unacceptable. @ChicagoDOH

Wild stuff. A democratic socialist running for congress on a housing platform written by the Illinois Municipal League, an organization run by a republican! Someone get Mamdani on the phone!
Byron (@BSLForCongress) is posting about how homeowner’s small two and three flats have been dismantled in Pilsen to build ā€œunaffordable monstrositiesā€ and the example is upzoning to fit more units into the area. C’mon man!

I would love to see the list of people that Alderman Sigcho has blocked. I’m pretty sure his list of enemies is longer than that of friends. What a coward.

Even the DSA is roasting the Chairman of Housing and Real Estate, @BSLForCongress @Sigchofor25 for his anti-housing positions.

For those who acknowledge we have a national housing crisis but are against more housing, what is your solution? Lowering taxes isn’t going to produce more homes. @ILREALTOR
An @ILREALTOR-commissioned survey shows broad support for key pieces of Gov. JB Pritzker’s BUILD housing plan, especially legalizing ADUs. But it also flashes warning signs on local control and density messaging. The latest: capitolnewsillinois.com/news…

Ald. Dowell to Ald. Quezada: ā€Øā€œDid you contact any property owner groups, such as the Chicago Association of Realtors, regarding this ordinance that impacts them the greatest?ā€ Ald. Quezada: ā€œNo, I did not.ā€ Motion passed anyway. (O2025-0019933) Amendment of Municipal Code Section 5-12-130 to require 30-days written notice from landlord of rental agreement termination for tenancies under 6 months.

Housing policy based on Aldermanic Prerogative is not equity - it’s modern-day red lining and this shit needs to stop.
If you live in any area that’s not blue on this map: your aldermen wants you to have FEWER housing options. They chose to limit accessory dwelling units (often used as starter homes for young families, or housing for seniors). Tell your alderman today to stop micromanaging.

The irony of this picture is it reflects the local DSA arrogance toward real experience. Anthony, a appointed alder, with little real world business experience, talks back to a man with years of restaurant experience. When your wondering what's wrong with Chicago..consider this dynamic. šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡ blockclubchicago.org/2026/03…

Classic University Ivory Tower Syndrome. It’s mind blowing that @DanielKayHertz, who writes housing policies, doesn’t have a basic grasp of how financial markets (interest rates/capital costs/CAP rates) impact valuations or even the basic terminology for a mortgage. I guess I’m encouraged he wants to learn.
What's the story here? Everything I've read is that downtown rents have continued to be extremely strong

Pilsen lost $125M from its TIF fund solely because of @Sigchofor25 and @ChicagosMayor’s incompetence.
Please encourage your state legislators to support these bills to keep neighborhood money in the neighborhoods and allow the TIF districts to function the way they were intended, breathing new life into struggling neighborhoods. chicago.suntimes.com/other-v…

I wish @MaryAnnAhernNBC would do the same reporting on @sigchofor25. Sigcho grew up well off but claims to be poor. So many socialist do the same: Cosplaying poverty for their political gain.
Interesting—even @MaryAnnAhernNBC noticed the grift coming from the fraud Democrat candidate @KatAbughazaleh. Hard to know the struggle when you don't come from the struggle—especially when you come from multi-million dollars of family wealth. A rich white liberal cosplaying. šŸ¤”šŸŒŽ

Per Chicago’s zoning code, this gorgeous 3-flat is outlawed in 95% of the city.
Look at this unique three flat I saw in Lakeview last weekend. Such beautiful masonry

Indiana is the equivalent of an old guy thinking he’s going to take the stripper home because he threw his entire pay check at her - it’s never going to happen. The Bears are just using Indiana as leverage to get tax credits from Illinois.

Well played Mamdani… well played. Using Trump’s narcissism to get NYC the resources it needs.
Mamdani brought along the fake Daily News front page as a gift for Trump to cajole him into providing funding for a long-stalled plan to build 12,000 apartments on top of Sunnyside Yards, per City Hall & sources. More on Mamdani's latest meet with Trump: politico.com/news/2026/02/26…
