Look at NYC’s budget. Now look at Florida’s. A bigger budget for almost 1/3 of the population. One clear example dismantles the delusion that this is a tax problem rather than runaway government overspending.

THIS is exactly why socialism never works. There is no one in the government, and especially in the US Senate, smart enough to know how much money someone else should earn. In America, the sky is the limit. We don’t impose a 100% tax on earnings above a level set by the government. Socialists do that. And that’s why there are no trillionaires, billionaires or rich people in socialist countries. Everyone is in poverty together, except for people in government. They’re the only rich ones.
Elon Musk just became the world’s first trillionaire. Let’s make sure he’s also the last.

Apollo manages over $1 trillion in assets and employs more than 4,000 people worldwide. The firm has roughly 944 employees in New York and says the bulk of its future hiring will be in Austin. Let’s do some simple math. If just 500 future jobs that would have been created in New York are instead created in Texas, at an average compensation of $300,000, that’s $150 million in annual payroll leaving New York’s future tax base. That’s potentially $15–20 million a year in lost state and city income tax revenue alone, before sales taxes, property taxes, business taxes, and all the economic activity those workers generate. Nice job, @ZohranKMamdani. Nice job, @KathyHochul. The people who create jobs, invest capital, and fund New York’s tax base are sending a message loud and clear. And this is just one firm. Who’s paying for all the free stuff when the jobs, investment, and tax revenue are heading to Texas?

Hochul's budget is almost $9 billion larger than she told New Yorkers it would be. Even members of her own party admitted they did not know what was in it. This is who is running our state. Hochul cannot manage a budget, she is never straight with taxpayers, and she cannot be trusted with another term. I will bring fiscal accountability back to New York to protect your wallet.

New York politicians like Kathy Hochul couldn’t be any stupider in their stubborn refusal to reverse the state’s ban on the extraction of natural gas. In the alternative, they should at least allow Constitution Pipeline to be built to deliver PA natural gas through NY and into New England, but even that level of common sense is too much for their low IQ brains to wrap their heads around. So sad the way they are enthusiastically driving their state into the ground.

.@ZohranKMamdani told New Yorkers his new “Mass Engagement” office would cost $5 million. Now we’re learning the real price tag is $53 million. While New Yorkers struggle with crime, housing costs, and crushing taxes, City Hall is spending tens of millions to build an army of political activists on the public payroll. If Zohran can turn a $5 million office into a $53 million office before it’s even fully operational, imagine what he’s doing across the rest of the budget. Make sure you save your receipts, Zohran. I’ll be auditing them on January 1, 2027. New Yorkers deserve accountability, not taxpayer-funded communist propaganda.

"While some 63 people were responsible for more than 5,000 arrests on the subway last year." This is what happens when the same offenders are allowed to cycle through the system without consequences. New Yorkers are tired of this lawlessness. We need to crack down on transit crime, remove repeat and violent offenders from transit systems, and restore safety to our subways. thedispatch.com/article/crim…

NY State's "all funds" budget (including federal aid) has grown at more than twice the inflation rate over the past decade. The state-funded portion of the budget has also outpaced inflation, a trend that began with the pandemic.

Everyday hard working New Yorkers don’t need to be held hostage by the small number of criminals in our midst. There’s a solution to this problem: enforce the law, charge criminals, and convict them. We don’t need to accept locked up shaving cream, harassment and violence from random strangers on our streets, rampant car theft that drives up insurance rates, or pervasive crime that makes areas of our state unlivable. We just need a new Attorney General. thedispatch.com/article/crim…

Watching the media and Democrats fall all over themselves defending Graham Platner is truly next level. After all the sanctimonious lectures about everything, it turns out, they don’t actually care about Nazi affiliations or sexual abuse and harassment.

Hey New York. @GovKathyHochul and the Democrat legislative leaders lied to you. They stood at a podium and told you the budget was $268 billion. The real number? $277 billion. That’s $9 BILLION more than they claimed and they didn’t tell you until the official Financial Plan dropped weeks later. Here’s how the shell game works: They announce a number at the “general agreement” presser, when the cameras are rolling. They print and pass the bills. Then, quietly, the Division of Budget publishes the actual number. $277B. $9 billion is not a rounding error. And they buried it in a document they released late, hoping you wouldn’t read it. When you can’t trust the number they give you on the spending, why would you trust them with your money at all? This is exactly why the Comptroller, the state’s independent fiscal watchdog, can’t be a rubber stamp for Albany. For 19 years it has been. It’s time to fire every single one of these lying bums.

So why did we have to fork over billions in taxpayer dollars to NYC? Just for it to be mismanaged even worse than before leading to an EVEN LARGER budget gap? This is the plan under Democrat rule in NYS- spend your tax dollars on socialist fairy tales. amny.com/politics/budget-wat…

It’s wild just how much food gets wasted and trashed into landfills. Over the weekend, I was in New York’s Hudson Valley with @RepMikeLawler touring a Rockland Green facility where food waste is being recycled into compost. The Trump EPA proudly launched our Feed it Onward initiative last year, partnering with individuals and entities across America to reduce food waste in many important ways.
