Was going through my notes from last week's KCDC conference, and recalled how much I enjoyed @guyroyse on embeddings and vector DB. Fantastic job on breaking down a complex topic into understandable levels, which was complemented with humor. #kcdc2025

I really enjoyed this write-up by @Lethain. Communication is such an important art form, especially in larger organizations. "Maintain the drip" is something I have personally found true in maintaining a weekly communication: che55er.io/posts/changelog-w…

Everywhere I've worked, people have complained that internal communication could be better. There is an art to delightful internal comms, but doing a reasonably good job bakes down to mechanically following a few fairly simple practices. Full notes in lethain.com/internal-comms-e…

Reading Jon Bentley's More Programming Pearls, "The Envelope is Back" section highlights our human struggle with number numbness: differentiating between milliseconds and microseconds (is a factor of a 1,000 really a big deal)? Example order of magnitude in velocity (🌱🐢🏃🚀☄️):

Loved the Dungeons and Dragons talk on Software Development. Creative team problem solving can learn so much from this. I’m starting to wonder if my earlier preference for being a cleric was a better indicator on later career choices. #oraclecernerdevcon
