Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day. 400 of them are now worth over $100 million. These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries. Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000. Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous." The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before. Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.

Word.💔 Moreover, STT was brought in lieu of LTCG. Now we not just pay STT for each buy & sell, but pay ever-increasing, arbitrary rates of LTCG each passing year! This for risking our hard-earned capital and driving investments through transparent transactions. Bcoz we are the lot that doesn't hoard dubious cash/gold? #ltcg @FinMinIndia
Respected @nsitharaman ji and @FinMinIndia , Suggestion 1 of 3 for strengthening India's capital markets: Long-term capital gains tax on listed equities should be abolished. A long-term shareholder is not a speculator but a provider of patient risk capital. By investing in and holding businesses, investors help companies expand, create jobs, innovate and contribute to India's economic growth. India requires enormous amounts of long-term capital to build world class enterprises, infrastructure and global champions. Tax policy should encourage households to move savings from passive assets, including imported stores of value such as gold, into productive businesses that create jobs, generate tax revenues and build national wealth. The appreciation in a company's value is not created in isolation. During its growth journey, the government already collects corporate tax, GST, income tax from employees, customs duties, stamp duties and numerous other levies. Long-term capital gains are often the final outcome of economic activity that has already generated substantial tax revenues. Most importantly, tax policy should clearly distinguish between investment and speculation. A long term shareholder is a partner in wealth creation, not merely a participant in market transactions. Tax policy should reward long-term ownership of productive businesses and distinguish it from short-term speculation. India needs more patient capital, more entrepreneurship and more long term investing. Abolishing long-term capital gains tax on listed equities would be a powerful step in that direction. Respectfully submitted.

Indians certainly hope this racist, anarchist, condescending, supremacist, sub-100 IQ, pig of a regime feels the heat in India! 🔥 Both Rubio and Gor are like these baby-faced idiots who never grew up! They perfectly gel with that TRT-driven Orangutan leader of theirs.

He installed and worshipped the Sengol in the Parliament. You said it was a political move to win Tamil Nadu. He had hosted China's President Xi Jinping in Mahabalipuram TN. You called it as optics. He organised Kashi Tamil Sangamam to celebrate Tamil language, art, dance, music, and cuisine, and to link Kashi with Tamil soil and spirituality. You said it is plagiarism. He highlighted the Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam as a way to reinforce "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat." You said he is imposing his own language and culture. He wore traditional Tamil attire, veshti angavastram and Tamil style shawl and offered prayers at Ramanathaswamy, Rameswaram, Sri Ranganathaswamy Mandir Srirangam, and Gangaikonda Cholapuram. You called him a show off. He has repeatedly spoken of Tamil as one of the world's oldest living languages, calling it eternal and global, praising festivals like Pongal and Puthandu, and highlighted Tamil cinema and contributions of Tamil people to freedom struggle and nation building. You mocked him and blamed him for always speaking in Hindi. The Tamil Nadu elections are over. Still he brought back your Chola era copper plates, known as the Anaimangalam copper plates, 11th century Chola inscriptions that were taken out of India around 1700 CE, being abroad for about 300 years. In your hatred for the BJP which has never harmed you or wronged you personally, you overlook a leader who has done far more for Tamil Nadu than any of the film stars you have chosen.

This is historic — and a BIG BLOW to the DRAVIDIAN SEPARATISTS. Chola inscriptions are coming back to Bharat. Thanks to Shri @narendramodi ji. These Chola inscription plates, stolen from India by a pastor in 1712, consist of 21 plates: the first 5 are in Sanskrit and the remaining 16 are in Tamil. This alone proves that there was no divide or conflict between the two ancient languages, Tamil and Sanskrit. These inscriptions, commissioned by the great Chola emperor Rajaraja I, mention and glorify gotra, Manu, Vyasa, Vishnu, Shiva, etc., confirming the proud Sanatan heritage of Tamils. Tamils are among the greatest Sanatanis. Now that the plates have returned to Bharat, they should be properly displayed, and this history should also be taught in schools, especially in Tamil Nadu, to counter the false propaganda spread by Dravidian separatists. The biggest irony is that a “Sanghi” @PMOIndia brought these Tamil Chola-era plates back to Bharat — a major setback for Dravidian separatist narratives. Read the great history behind these plates and the seal: Know about the Leiden (Aanaimangalam) copperplates retrieved by India from Netherlands after many centuries: > The first copper plate to be discovered on Cholas > Excavated by Dutch East Indies Company (VOC) during the construction of Fort Vijf Sinnen around 1700 > Brought to the Netherlands in 1712 by a pastor, whose descendants donated it to Leiden University in 1862 > Deciphered in 1886 by Pandit Natesa Sastri and Burgess > Issued by GOAT king Rajaraja the first > 21 copper plates held together by a bronze ring with the regal seal > First 5 plates are in Sanskrit, rest 16 are in Tamil > Weighs 30kg, and are numbered from plates 2-21 > Mentions the lineage of Cholas starting from Vishnu till Surya, Ikshavaku and then Manu, the king who gave justice to a bereaved cow > Mentions about Devasura Manthan with Shiva becoming Neelakanta, and the Amrita being distributed to Devas by a Chola king >Records the historic grant given by Rajaraja to ruler of Sri Vijaya (Indonesia) for constructing a Chulamanivarma Vihara in Aanaimangalam of Nagapattinam district > Boundaries of the Vihara were determined by the ceremonial circumambulation of a female elephant >Sanskrit plates were written by Kottaiyur's Ananta Narayanan of Vashishta gotra > Documents in detail the 41 officials who executed the edict, the artisans who wrote out the words and the sculptors who rendered the inscription > Poetically states that only Veda Vyasa can truly capture the fully glory of Cholas, but the author is trying his best > States "As long as the crescent adorned Shiva resides on Kailasha and Vishnu does Yoga Nithirai on Paarkadal, and the earthly lamps Sun and Moon drive darkness away, may the Chola clan protect this Earth" > In the summer of 2023, the Indian government submitted a request to Leiden University to return the Chola Plates > The Leiden/Aanaimangalam Chola Plates will now go to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in New Delhi
