Chicago Builds is a 2-year off-campus construction training program for 11th/12th grade CPS students who are interested pursuing a career in construction.

The City of Chicago Department of Buildings partnered with Chicago Builds to provide a 3-day experience for students, including presentations from the Commissioner and their department heads, and a trip to City Hall to meet the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and other city officials.
Our Chicago BUILDS program student ambassadors and apprentices in welding and electrical, Donoval & Leonel, are a testament to our CTE programs' success as they embark on their journey to earn paid training opportunities & industry certifications!
