Wtf man we got rugged on fable so fast. Could’ve at least waited till 22nd when it switched to api pricing
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

If you tell ChatGPT it’s the spaceX ipo today, let’s monitor the situation, it sets up a reminder and pings you about changes every hour so you can monitor the situation

Getting f*ckd by a model has two different meanings depending on if you live in LA or SF.

Being able to speak to agents and code on my phone from wherever I am has definitely made me rediscover my passion for programming and building again. Big fan of the idea that we’re going to see more apps or services that push rather than pull and reduce screen time and sedentary stuck in front of a computer time
> zero sum screen time This is why I’m more bullish on apps and services that are ~invisible~ passively helping with some aspect of your life Claws, wearables, software that “pushes” rather than “pulls”, etc

Are we just reinventing programming from first principals?? First you had me tediously install and set up the compiler chain (openclaw), then you had me learning if statements (if you don’t follow the workflow and write working code ima be mad Mr. Claw) now you want me to learn loops?? What’s next? Classes? Monads? Can’t wait for the frontier models to get good enough that they just know how to loop themselves.
Here’s your monthly reminder that you shouldn’t be prompting coding agents anymore. You should be designing loops that prompt your agents.

Realistically my workflow assumes frontier models know how to loop and self trigger. I don’t say /loop or /workflow. I just use takopi to tell codex in natural language. I sprinkle in some magic words like workflow and follow the standard of how we work, and it will usually loop till done while delegating to cheaper Chinese models. The secret is refining that workflow once and catching it when it doesn’t properly follow the workflow it has in agents Md

After trying a few different ai tools I upgraded my codex subscription recently and I think this was part of the reason why I got the vibe that it was better. Lots of half done stuff on Claude that just never made it to a PR whereas codex was definitely more productive and at least made the PR even if it needed more revisions after. But also because of this my new 5x limits definitely don’t feel like 5x lol
This is an intentional decision in our products. Same thing goes for ChatGPT for Excel, Sheets and Powerpoint. If you run out of limits in the middle of a task, why would we want you to have a half built spreadsheet or deck?

Saylor can sell covered calls on BTC to fund preferred and still capture upside spread 20% OTM calls would prob cover his interest expense, and if they expire ITM, he still make more in BTC terms so good for MSTR holders How do I know this works? We literally invented and have done this trade on chain for @eth_strategy via a product called ESPN.

This is what happens when you abandon Cryptoeconomics and blindly follow the "loss leader" / "if you build it they will come" kol nonsense.
I find it funny that $ETH was supposed to benefit from the stablecoin boom: - It's the settlement chain for stablecoins - Where the TVL for yield bearing stablecoins live - Where the infra for hosting stablecoins via DeFi is hosted But of course, that's not where the value lies for $ETH the token. In fact, ETH was able to capture nothing from all of the above. It's one of the reasons it's traded so poorly, it's just not been able to monetise well of any of the above well enough. That's despite there being 160 billion in stables sitting on ETH mainnet. Instead, there's another chain that makes $200-250m annualised in real revenue that accrues to 1 token because of stablecoins and not even anywhere near 160b, just a tiny fraction of that at 6b. It's real USDC value and it comes from pure negotiating power to get the most for them and it's token. Hyperliquid

started using surplus intelligence recently and think its a dope product, something like this is much needed imo (ie. spot inference marketplace) -- @AntSeedAI and @Ask_CarpeDiem are dope but they only support reselling of DIEM based inference (still very cool) surplus on the otherhand is working on becoming a generalized aggregator for api keys from any provider (openai, anthropic, openrouter, venice etc) -- for ex: say you get into YC and get $2M in credits (recent deal for startups) and you only need $500k or so, so you'd ideally wanna sell the remaining $1.5M at some discount (say 33% and get $1M back) -- right now there's no real way to monetize it other than surplus i think as inference becomes one of the most important commodities for humanity, and as models, providers and consumers fragment something like surplus will thrive -- even if you don't have credits and are a GPU based inference provider instead, you might get little to no traffic on openrouter because of their ranking system -- on surplus you can sell your compute at reduced cost and still recoup costs i think the future of this would look something like hyperliquid, where model token prices and capacity would act like a token, liquid, where more usage automatically bids prices higher and as usage drops the token price drops lower, this lets providers figure out what models to run, how to price them etc i was looking at building something similar but great to see @mac_eth iterate and scale this (also ex-cb) -- thought it would be worth calling out good builders doing something new -- metrics are also looking great, looks like team is scaling up, revenue is zero (no fees at this stage) but if there is significant volume, even a small % of fees flowing back into buyback and burns would make this a pretty lucrative opportunity -- NFA as usual but one of the more interesting base AI bets

A few metrics on surplusintelligence.ai: * New ATH for number of transactions * Buyers at same high as yesterday * Still $0 revenue as I've said many times before Product unchanged. Roadmap unchanged. Continuing to focus on improving UI and migrations for scaling. Team is committed, excited, optimistic. They offered to be compensated with tokens so that we wouldn't need to worry about selling for runway. Monitor the product metrics here dune.com/macstrelioff/surplu…

When does the hedonic treadmill end or are we doomed to watch as we run in loops doomed to our human nature?

Just imagine: you create a model (MinMax M.27) that scores the SAME results as Opus 4.6 on SWE Bench PRO. But when we create a benchmark where your model didn't train, you literally score 0. Because MinMax models are shit, and incomparable to frontier models.
