Great work by @AstonlabsPurdue and @ClaridgeLab !
It is #TechTuesday and we have 13 new patents from Purdue inventors ready for licensing! #Purdue inventors are hard at work as they persistently pursue new discoveries and world-changing solutions. The list of new patents continues to grow and grow: medium.com/purdue-research-f…

Yes and yes, from a very nice perspective by @SAClaridge. While suppliers figuring out their part, us, researchers, should consider doing quality checks (NMR, mass, FTIR) of a surfactant bottle that lasts N number of syntheses and report/deposit/keep track of these data.
Have you wondered why technical-grade oleylamine is so variable? And why it's a technical grade? We did. Our short perspective on oleylamine's (sometimes) beefy origins, and its impacts on nanocrystals: iopscience.iop.org/article/1…

Have you ever wondered how tech grade oleylamine impacts your nanocrystal ligand shells? Some bottles solidify in the lab on a cool day. Others don't. Does this matter? Erin's new work in @acsnano shows how this impacts assembly of gold nanowires. doi.org/10.1021/acsnano.1c02…
