We humans have a land centric perspective bias. The climate heating story is best told by the insane ocean heat content increase. Global cooling is not in the pipeline even if AMOC continues to collapse.
The ocean continued to warm in 2025, reaching record high levels. It is expected that the ocean will continue to warm well into the future – a change which is irreversible for hundreds to thousands of years. Check out the #StateOfClimate 2025: bit.ly/StateOfClimate2025sto…

And Greenland is losing 30m tonnes of ice an hour, study reveals As this study does not take into account Greenland melting the situation is even more dire theguardian.com/environment/…
Breaking: New study using observational constraints projects that the Atlantic Ocean circulation #AMOC will weaken ~50% by 2100, even for medium emissions and without Greenland melting. Seriously bad news. theguardian.com/environment/…

Dandelions are a critical food source for Irish bees in early #spring, acting as a vital energy boost for queen bumblebees and solitary bees after hibernation. Dandelions bloom when others are scarce, supporting over 100 insect species and making them essential for biodiversity.

Mind-blowing fact: There are 3 TRILLION trees on Earth — that's 12 times more trees than stars in the entire Milky Way galaxy! Yet we lose millions every day. One mature tree can absorb ~48 lbs of CO₂ per year and help cool cities by up to 9°F. Plant one. Protect them. The "Wood Wide Web" is rooting for us. Retweet if this blew your mind! #Environment #NatureFacts

You will not find these beauties on the moon or Mars or anywhere else But everything that we cherish and love on Earth is disappearing and its all down to humans inability to live within the limits set by nature
🚨 The emperor penguin is now officially endangered. Climate change is shrinking the sea ice they depend on to breed, and when it breaks too early, chicks drown before they even have a chance. Some colonies are collapsing completely.

It’s easy to forget with the constant deluge of horror & depravity that every single one of us is on track to lose absolutely everything. But, then, that’s the point of the horror & depravity.

This is what acceleration of atmospheric CO₂ increase (second order derivative) looks like. More and more carbon sinks are turning into carbon sources. Notably the Amazon and Boreal forests.
That dip in the 1990’s was Mt. Pinatubo. Approximately 18gt of CO2 left the atmosphere, but whatever left the atmosphere appears to have returned in full by 2001. The linear growth in the “rate of change of atmospheric CO2” is equivalent to saying that overall atmospheric CO2 is accelerating. March, 2026 data soon!
