In response to the #LemonFire, the Red Cross has established a shelter at Valley Family YMCA located at 43001 10th St W, Lancaster
Shelter is open to assist those affected by evacuation orders for the Lemon Fire or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

UPDATE (#LemonFire): The fire is now 300 acres an with additional 20-25 acres possible in the next hour.

UPDATE (#LemonFire): The fire is making a push towards the valley floor. They have structure defense established with efforts to drop water/retardant to knock the steam out of the head of the fire.
Engine reporting they should have a structure threat within the next 20 minutes,also requesting a vet so they can start evacuating animals.Aircraft continuing to drop water and retardant. #LemonFire
Angeles NF’s Fox Field’s federal Airtankers and helicopters are supporting:
#LemonFire in Los Angeles County south of Pearblossom.
#WylyFire located in Kern Count west of Tehachapi.
The base is also reloading retardant for CALFIRE aircraft assigned to both fires.
