The public showcase of hostility and humiliation that Minister Ben Gvir directed at protestors participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla is unacceptable. The willingly abusive treatment that flotilla crews and protestors, among them many European citizens, were subject to goes against human dignity requirements. We call for the immediate and safe release of the members of the flotilla, in line with applicable international standards, while upholding their right to adequate consular assistance and basic human dignity. We hope this incident will be treated with the utmost responsibility and that this sort of humiliation will not be repeated.

Sky News just did an extended piece on the UK being the world's largest importer of jet fuel, with zero production capacity. They managed not to mention the closure 2 years ago of the Grangemouth oil refinery which produced jet fuel.

There have been ~10 attacks on UK Synagogues in the last 12 months. There have been ~300 attacks on UK Mosques in the last 12 months. Why is the former a problem ... but the latter isn't?

If anyone on the left talked about Jews and Israel the way Melanie Phillips talks about Palestinians and Palestine, they would be investigated by the police for hate speech and would never see the inside of a television or radio studio ever again.
