Very excited to share our latest research article published with @SpringerNature in @NatureComms. We show that in early #MDS, NK cells share mutations with the malignant clones, becoming dysfunctional and failing to eliminate aberrant stem cells. This leads to immune evasion and disease progression. Adoptive infusion of healthy donor #NK cells can restore immune surveillance offering a potential strategy for early intervention.
