Trump says Lebanon is included in peace deal and Israel has to withdraw from southern Lebanon. Netanyahu says they won't do that. They will continue to attack in Lebanon, Gaza and Syria. The answer is obvious - cut them off. Not another dollar. Why would we pay them to defy us?

The difference between Palestine Action the suffragettes is that the Suffragettes made and used bombs. Palestine Action sought to disable arms factories producing weapons used by Israel in its genocide of Gaza. Curiously, the suffragettes described THEMSELVES as terrorists. Pankhurst stated that the suffragettes committed violent acts because they wanted to "terrorise the British public"
Replying to @harriepw
The Lady Chief Justice said proscription of Palestine Action “struck a fair balance” and that PA is not a peaceful civil disobedience group like the Suffragettes

Today the EU had a choice on Israel, and it chose nothing. No sanctions on Ben-Gvir. No ban on settlement goods. No suspension of the trade deal. The same day, a leaked document revealed the EU has known since 2017 that it could lawfully do all of this. So this is not a story about what Europe cannot do. It is a story about what it refuses to do, and how it hides the refusal. 🧵 ↳ Reuters : “no consensus” on Ben-Gvir (today): usnews.com/news/world/articl…

The second trial, with eight of the Filton 25, has begun today at the Old Bailey. However, security are denying entry to all the family members and loved ones, demanding they have two forms of ID. This rule has never been used before, and is clearly an intimidation tactic.

Former home secretary Yvette Cooper was warned that proscribing Palestine Action could prejudice the trial of 6 activists but went ahead anyway. Documents seen by Declassified show the CPS advised Cooper not to proscribe Palestine Action within 6 months of any Filton hearings. declassifieduk.org/palestine…

Not even 24 hours since the ceasefire deal was signed. And Ben-Gvir is already demanding: 'We must continue destroying houses in southern Lebanon. Continue pushing residents away. Continue eliminating Hezbollah'

I’m with Livia Firth on this - what kind of person does adverts for a company involved in illegal settlements - stupid, ignorant or just plain bad. These illegal settlements (and lovely penthouses) are the result of a campaign of terror and great violence against Palestinian people. They are illegal under international law and immoral of course. Maybe Gwyneth can conjure up a candle that captures the smell of all of this. independent.co.uk/life-style…

We can all agree that justice is dead in the UK Killed by corrupt, deviant judges who let off rapists & paedophiles & declare groups trying to stop a genocide as unlawful
The Court of Appeal has ruled in the govts favour, stating that the proscription of Palestine Action is lawful. Normal service has been resumed. The state will brook no criticism of its role in Israels genocide.

Never forget the Lady Chief Justice isn't ignorant about the violent history of the suffragettes, she is betting on the public being ignorant and the press compliant.

The campaign against human rights defenders seems to be at its hightest. Everywhere. And so shall be the determination to protect human rights, which are not a gift. They are conquest of decades of struggles of women, men, people who fought for freedom. And so shall we continue.

🚨🗣️New: Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Vinicius Junior refusing the mandatory halftime interview with FIFA at the World Cup: “People are shocked that Vinícius walked away from a halftime interview. I am shocked that anyone thinks he should have stopped in the first place. Halftime is not a television studio. Halftime is not a podcast. Halftime is not a red carpet. Halftime is the heartbeat of a football match. For 45 minutes, players are warriors in a storm. They run, they fight, they suffer, they bleed. Then they get 15 precious minutes to recover, to breathe, to listen, to think. And FIFA wants to spend part of that time chasing soundbites? That is like pulling a Formula 1 driver out of his car during a pit stop and asking him how the race is going. And FIFA’s idea is to shove a microphone in the player’s face and ask, ‘How do you feel?’ How do you think he feels? He’s exhausted. This is modern football’s biggest disease. Everything is content. Everything is sponsorship. Everything is television. The match hasn’t even finished and they’re already trying to manufacture headlines. They tell us they care about player welfare. Really? Then why are players playing more games than ever? Why are tournaments expanding? Why are injuries increasing? And now they want halftime interviews too? The hypocrisy is unbelievable. Halftime is sacred. It belongs to the players and the coaches. That’s where games are won. That’s where tactics change. That’s where injuries get treated. That’s where leaders speak. It is not a media circus. And don’t tell me this is for the fans. Fans want better football, not a tired player giving a robotic 20-second answer because somebody sold another broadcast package. Vinícius understood that. He chose football over public relations. The funniest part? They threaten him with a fine. A fine. As if that changes the principle. If I were there, I’d pay it too. Because some things are worth more than money. If FIFA really had their way, they’d put microphones in the dressing room and call it innovation. Football should come first. Not content. Not commercials. Not corporate greed. For once, a player pushed back. And that’s exactly why so many people are angry.”
