Today, we celebrate Flag Day and honor the Stars and Stripes, the enduring symbol of our nation's freedom. Our flag has flown over battlefields, schools, homes, and communities, representing the sacrifices of the men and women who fought to defend the liberties we enjoy today. It is more than cloth and color; it is a reminder that America is worth protecting and preserving. God Bless our flag, our military, our veterans, and the United States of America. #FlagDay

To celebrate Colorado’s 150th anniversary, we’re highlighting the Four Corners. This spot in the American Southwest is special because it’s the only place in the country where four states meet at one point. Visitors can stand in all four states at once. #Colorado150

🏆Congratulations to @SenSimpsonCO and @SenRodPelton on being recognized by @CO_MentalHealth for their commitment to improving mental health outcomes across Colorado. Senator Simpson received the 2026 Continuing Champion Award for his enduring dedication to the health and well-being of Coloradans. Senator Rod Pelton was recognized for sponsoring legislation that expands access to mental health services, particularly in rural communities where counselors, therapists, and psychiatrists are often in short supply. Colorado Senate Republicans remain committed to supporting the mental health needs of our children, families, and communities. Mental health matters. Our fearless Assistant Minority Leader @LisaFrizellSD2 stood strong during the 2026 legislative session. While Democrats were cutting funds for some of our most vulnerable communities, she successfully fought to amend the budget and secure important funding to help protect our disabled Americans. Like, share, and comment if you support our most vulnerable citizens, just as Senator Frizell does. #WrappeUp2026

Governor Polis' veto of SB26-134 stops a government rule that could have disrupted payment systems, made compliance harder, and put popular credit card rewards at risk. This bill showed government overreach into the private market. Republicans continue to support policies that encourage consumer choice, economic freedom, and less regulation. This is a win for Colorado consumers, small businesses, and free-market values.

Today, Colorado took an important step to protect children and hold predators accountable with the governor signing SB26-015 into law. @commish_pelton's bill strengthens penalties for those who exploit children through commercial sexual activity, establishes tougher consequences for offenders, and closes loopholes that have allowed predators to avoid meaningful punishment. The law also increases penalties for internet luring when tied to the exploitation of children. Every child deserves to be safe. Every predator deserves to be held accountable.

Colorado Roads are among the worst-maintained in the country; it’s no surprise that we see accidents like this. We need to prioritize roads and public safety.
**ROAD CLOSURE** (Pueblo County,CO) - Highway 50 C at milepost 13 (west of Avondale) is closed in both directions due to a crash involving a chemical spill. Choose alternate routes. It is unknown when the roadway will reopen. Check COtrip.org for updates.

The governor has vetoed HB26-1255. Keeping Coloradans safe is important, but we can do that without giving up our constitutional rights. This bill would have forced strict rules on social media companies and increased government control over online speech, without clear evidence that it would help. Colorado already has SB-011, which requires social media companies to answer law enforcement warrants within 72 hours. HB26-1255 would have cut that time to 24 hours and added new reporting rules, even though there were concerns about practicality, due process, and possible unintended effects. We can protect our communities while also protecting civil liberties.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Representative Lois Landgraf, who faithfully served House District 21 and the people of Colorado for eight years.  Lois was a staple of the Republican Party and a steady, trusted presence in El Paso County, always fighting for commonsense conservative solutions that made our communities safer and stronger. During her time in the House, Lois championed legislation that made our communities safer and stronger. From creating the Training Veterans to Train Their Own Service Dogs pilot program to support veterans living with PTSD, to making sure assault by strangulation is clearly defined in statute and prosecuted as a serious felony, and leading one of the toughest synthetic‑marijuana crackdowns in the country. Her legacy is written into Colorado law and carried forward in the veterans, families, and communities who are safer and more secure because of her work. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and all who loved her.

.@Sen_John_Carson, a strong advocate for the taxpayer's bill of rights (TABOR) and law enforcement, was successful in protecting what matters most to you by passing common-sense legislation during the 2026 session. Like, share, and comment if you support these initiatives as much as Senator Carson. #WrappedUp2026
