This past weekend, I had the opportunity to visit the Four Corners Monument. I have the unique opportunity and privilege of representing the people who live farthest from the Capitol, and I want to reaffirm my commitment to always bring your voices with me to the Capitol.

Our fearless Assistant Minority Leader @LisaFrizellSD2 stood strong during the 2026 legislative session. While Democrats were cutting funds for some of our most vulnerable communities, she successfully fought to amend the budget and secure important funding to help protect our disabled Americans. At the 2026 Western Mining Summit, Colorado Senate Minority Leader @SenSimpsonCO spoke on legislative initiatives supporting mineral development and shared insights alongside Wyoming @GovernorGordon. He participated in discussions on the role of policy in strengthening the mining sector. At the summit’s conclusion, the @ColoradoMining Association recognized him as a Champion of Mining for his ongoing commitment to the industry and its significance to Colorado’s economy and communities.

The 2026 Legislative Session has finally come to a close. This session brought long debates, tough decisions, bipartisan work, and important conversations about the future of our state. From affordability and public safety to water, transportation, education, and economic growth, Colorado Senate Republicans tackled important issues impacting every corner of Colorado. Thank you to everyone who participated in the process, constituents, advocates, staff, local leaders, and Coloradans who made their voices heard. As the Capitol lights dim on another session, the work continues back home across Colorado.

I am all about efficiency, and that’s why SB26-136, a bill I sponsored that eliminates unnecessary regulation and holds executive agencies accountable, was signed into law today. I will continue posting key updates for my constituents and all of Colorado in the coming days.

On the last day of the 2026 session, Colorado Senate Republicans killed HB26-1054, protecting Coloradans from another bad piece of legislation. Today, on the 75th National Day of Prayer, we pause to give thanks for the blessings of faith, family, freedom, and the greatest nation on Earth. America was founded on the principle that our rights come from God, not government, and we must never lose sight of that truth. The 2026 @DU_Hockey National Champions visited the State Senate today. An amazing run by the Pioneers to finish out the season with 17-0 run and win the National Championship game over the Wisconsin Badgers 2-1. Way to go Pios!
