@WorldBank underscores the urgent need to revolutionise education systems in Africa to support inclusive economic growth. With a growing youth population and a rapidly evolving global economy, investing in education is crucial to unlocking the continent's full potential.
With 170 million more students entering schools by 2030, the region must build 9 million classrooms and hire 11 million teachers.
In 2022, the
@ComEdTrust's
#Teach2030 programme was one of the 10 ‘Spotlight’ selections identified as one of the leading solutions from around the world helping teachers thrive in an ever-changing classroom.
This ‘Spotlight’, Teachers for a Changing World, is a collaboration between The The World Bank Group and
@HundrEDorg , with financing from the
@GPforEducation (GPE).
Beyond financing, the focus must shift to improving learning outcomes and equipping youth with skills for the fast-changing job market.
