Bayelsa State isn’t just blessed with crude oil. We’re blessed with palm oil too. Oil palm trees grow naturally here in massive numbers. If you move around Bayelsa, you’ll see mills & processing centers everywhere. It’s a very lucrative market because... 1/

Update: Azikel Refinery has commenced the installation of the Naphtha Reactor (ISBL equipment) at its project site in Bayelsa State. The refinery has now entered the critical "Plug-and-Play" phase, where major processing units are being installed. The milestone was led by Dr. Eruani Azibapu, CFR, President of Azikel Group. The reactor is one of the core components of the refining process, making this a major step toward project completion.
Arrival of the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) and other major refinery completion components for the Azikel Refinery at the Onne Seaport in Rivers State has marked a significant milestone in the realization of one of Nigeria’s largest privately-owned refinery projects located at Obunagha-Gbarain in Yenagooa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The Crude Distillation Unit, regarded as the heart of every refinery, serves as the central processing facility through which petroleum products are distilled and refined. The massive components, measuring about 250 feet in length and weighing approximately 135 tonnes, arrived aboard a specially chartered vessel alongside other critical equipment, including Naphtha Reactors, gasoline distillation towers, crude heaters and other final installation components. The development is seen as a major boost for Bayelsa State, which has for decades contributed significantly to Nigeria’s economy through crude oil production but has continued to experience limited industrial infrastructure. The Azikel Refinery project is expected to stimulate economic growth, create employment opportunities and strengthen Nigeria’s local refining capacity. The project has also been described as a landmark indigenous industrial investment capable of transforming the economic landscape of the Niger Delta. Commendations have continued to trail the resilience and commitment of Dr. Azibapu Eruani and the management of Azikel Group for driving the refinery project to its present stage, with many describing the refinery as a lasting legacy of indigenous enterprise and industrial development in the region. As movement of the refinery components from the seaport to the Bayelsa project site begins in the coming weeks, expectations remain high among residents over the socio-economic benefits the refinery is expected to deliver upon completion.

What if instead of importing vehicles we supported our local manufacturers like Innoson Vehicles, Nord Motion, NEV Electric, Jet Motors, LSM, etc.? x.com/afropolitan/status/206…

China's most affordable electric car costs $9,700 in Shenzhen. The exact same car costs $26,000 in Lagos. Same factory. Same model. No special import tariff explaining the gap.

SAHA 2026: Nigeria’s DICON-D7G showcases indigenous growing weapons in Turkey At the SAHA Expo 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey, DICON-D7G (the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria joint venture) showcased Nigeria's expanding indigenous weapons manufacturing capabilities to the global market. This historic milestone demonstrates Nigeria's shift toward self-reliance in military hardware production. The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) and its joint venture partner D7G Nigeria Limited unveiled its locally manufactured military hardware at the SAHA Defence and Aerospace Exhibition 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey. Held from May 5 to May 9, 2026, the international exhibition served as a global platform for Nigeria to demonstrate its advancing domestic military industrial capacity and reduce its historical reliance on foreign arms imports. The central pillar of the current DICON-D7G production model is the DG-103 assault rifle, a domestically licensed and upgraded variant of the Russian Kalashnikov AK-103, which is built at the joint venture’s manufacturing facility in Kaduna. Chambered for the standard 7.62x39mm M43 cartridge, the rifle is designed to provide frontline infantry units with a reliable weapon system suited for varied terrain. By late 2025, DICON-D7G production facility had successfully assembled and delivered its initial batch of nearly 1,000 DG-103 rifles within the first two months of manufacturing, all of which passed certification and testing protocols. What we need to do is start manufacturing trains in Nigeria. x.com/doysol_/status/2057389…

She mentioned two critical things for me. Management of the train service and skill transfer. I have said, we should have engineers trained in rail system building & maintenance (hard and soft ware). LAMATA should also have clear budget. @Brv6ix @Mr_JAGs

Unlike cowardly Africans who live in white countries, Aliko Dangote lives in Nigeria and invests in Nigeria. If you're going to live in white countries and not contribute to Nigeria's development, at least don't bother us.
