Lebanon is again the place to watch. Iran says the MOU will be signed on Friday, but the lifting of the US blockade and a ceasefire in Lebanon will take effect immediately. If Israel keeps bombing Lebanon, the MOU probably won't happen.

Trump basically needs to find a way to send Iran their frozen assets that looks different enough from Obama "giving them cash" so he can get a memorandum of understanding that opens the Strait, which he'll talk about as if it's an actual, finalized, long-term peace deal.

This makes me think Trump is backing down and accepting Iran's latest terms for an MOU.
Based on his past behavior, when Trump is about to escalate, he tends to stay quiet or make vaguely deescalatory comments.
On the other hand, when he's about to give in, he'll put out some grandiose, attention-grabbing threat, so he can then pretend like it was the other side who rolled over out of fear.
I think, and hope, that that is what he's doing here.

Lets say what Trump said is true and roughly 2 million barrels per day made it through in the last 40 days.
That is roughly 10% of normal traffic at the cost of an Apache helicopter, several drones, and god only knows how many billions a month it costs to sustain the blockade
