Congress is trying to integrate Israeli military tech into US systems so deeply that no future election can undo it. The term is election-proofing—making the relationship permanent regardless of how voters feel. @RyanMcMaken @ConnorOKeeffe @ThoBishop (It's Power & Market, Ryan)

In today's Friday Philosophy, Dr. David Gordon revisits The Calculus of Consent by James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock, considered a "classic" by mainstream economists. Murray Rothbard, however, dissented loudly. mises.org/friday-philosophy/…

Such a wonderful week, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end.

Egalitarian interpretations of the Declaration not only empower the centralized state but promote a view of “equality” that shares a common ethical error with slavery itself. | Joshua Mawhorter mises.org/mises-wire/declara…

This is the most “The European mind can’t comprehend this” moment of my life. One of my friends said, “Punch me five times tomorrow and I’ll still think this isn’t real.”

Post 5/7 That search led me to the @mises Institute and the Austrian School That’s where the scales fell from my eyes. They gave me the words for what my gut already knew: Money printing isn’t “stimulus” — it’s theft by inflation. Bailouts don’t prevent crises. They guarantee bigger ones.

Trump is trapped in a genuinely difficult situation as he tries to reach a deal with Iran. But it is a crisis of his own making. Also, the establishment figures now condemning him should not be allowed to pretend they had nothing to do with it.

My latest piece for the Mises Institute : "In Catholic doctrine, the principle of subsidiarity is therefore above all a principle of dispersing power, of limiting authority, of healthy skepticism toward concentration. Applied to technology, it implies a world in which thousands of actors, large and small, develop, use and shape AI without any of them holding a monopoly on the decision over its use. [...] By placing the individual at the center of the economy and society, the Austrians also understand that the natural solution to these concentrations of power must be sought not from above, but from below—where people, families, and communities live; exactly where Catholic subsidiarity already places primary responsibility."
Pope Leo’s recent encyclical on Artificial Intelligence makes some good points but also has weaknesses. @UlrichFY explains. mises.org/mises-wire/magnifi…

Progressivism was a poisonous ideology from the beginning. One of its worst legacies is eugenics, which not only created social strife in the US, but also was exported to Germany, where the Nazis embraced it. | William L. Anderson mises.org/mises-wire/how-ame…

"Socialism is not in the least what it pretends to be. It is not the pioneer of a better and finer world, but the spoiler of what thousands of years of civilization have created. It does not build, it destroys. For destruction is the essence of it. It produces nothing, it only consumes what the social order based on private ownership in the means of production has created." — Ludwig von Mises
