Wassailing wasnโt just singing. It was a winter blessing for orchards, where people toasted trees with cider and hung bits of bread for the robins. A good harvest began with a good song. #FolkloreThursday

Woodlands in crisis:
Nearly 6,000 trees were examined by @wildlifebcn across 21 sites. Overall, almost a third (29 per cent) of trees were affected by disease. For ash, the figure was far higher, at 82 per cent.

Where once there was grass now thereโs red tarmac. When once there were wonderful established cherry trees, now thereโs close to nothing. Think of this, Coton orchard and moreโฆ killing trees and green space Is the reason why GCP exists.
