Altseason is a critical part of the Bitcoin cycle. Bottom line... if Altseason is missing, then there has been no bull run. Which means, the cycle is not over, and Altseason is still coming.

Evaluating the "value" of an early startup with breakthrough technology solely based on its price is shortsighted, especially when the project is built for practical, real-world applications rather than being part of the speculative frenzy often seen in the cryptocurrency space. Storytime... around 1998 Enron looked like the most valuable stock on the planet, written about in books, media, and news as the golden child of stocks and a highly praised business model. About the same time a little start-up called Google (originally named "BackRub"), popped up on the scene. Enron: Investors were dazzled by Enron's complexity, innovation claims, and impressive short-term performance without understanding the core business model. Many trusted the hype without digging deeper. Google: Despite being a little-known company, Google's clear value proposition—organizing the world's information—was rooted in a strong technological foundation and vision. Those who researched Google saw potential whereas others saw risk. Google, focused on long-term goals, innovation, and a culture of doing things differently ("Don't be evil" was its early mantra). While not widely understood early on, or overly valuable, Google stayed grounded, focused on innovation, and consistently demonstrated growth and ethical business practices. Moral: Understand the fundamentals of a business, its market, and its long-term viability before investing. Complexity isn't always a sign of value. Strong companies grow through transparency and real value. Ethical leadership and a clear, sustainable vision are better indicators of long-term success than short-term flashy results. innovation often starts small and misunderstood, but with patience and a focus on long-term fundamentals, it has the potential to transform entire industries. Just as Google redefined how we interact with information, #Kaspa could redefine how we understand and use decentralized digital ledgers and digital currency. Investing in visionary technologies requires courage, research, and patience. While the path is uncertain, history has shown that game-changers often start as underdogs, ones that build upon 3 key pillars, transparency, scalability, and solving real-world problems. The question is not just whether you see the potential, but whether you're willing to take the journey. Repeated post from @ChadBallantyne

The cambrian explosion of Kaspa based apps is imminent. From @michaelsuttonil latest post, @skibumtrading makes it seem like this is a ready-to-go AI prompt engine to auto-code apps that run on Kaspa’s internet speed Satoshi system. @kasiamessaging is an example of what this tool can help build with little to no coding experience needed. I don’t want to sound sensational, but this will truly be a digital revolution into a real-time / AI assisted ‘no code’ / Bitcoin-level trust-less & open economy. AI vibe coding apps on Kaspa could be the next big thing in crypto. Why? Tx’s cost .0001USD, the network never goes down, tx’s never fail, tx’s are instant, it brings users back to Satoshi principals of decentralization & security, is super dopamine rewarding like pumpfun, and is extremely f%#@)$g cool & useful!

Today, I mined my first Kaspa block to my own node. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but here's why it's important to me. No KYC, no exchange, no pool. No one can stop it from reaching me. No one can take it from me. This is what crypto was meant to be. Permissionless, decentralized. If you want to learn how to mine to your own node, check out the video below 👇 $KAS

I think the main point vs btc is the sound moneyness combined with open finance/ trustless programmability (following zk and canonical bridging support). The ability to use your stored value and still have this capital available for defi and financial apps is key. Another point is dk and superior resistance to internet chaos. The storytelling points vs solana, eth, hype are different, and they too possibly require products to derive them home. Besides the obvious pow advantage, you can also name other focused advantages per competitor (eg multileader/sub-RTT speed; zk state scalability vs solana; L1 data availability throughput and based rollups as default architecture allowing composability vs eth; multileader, MEV-resistance, trustless oracles vs both; L1 fundamentals combined with a strong DEX product vs hyperliquid) btw I'm not sure this post linked by Yonatan got sufficient highlighting x.com/jonwu_/status/17677028… cc: @christi61026749

The globalist agenda is a calculated assault on Canada’s sovereignty and freedoms, orchestrated by elites like Mark Carney and the Liberals. From erasing our identity to disarming citizens, every policy is designed to atomize us, confuse us, and control us. Here’s the playbook—and why we must fight back. EV question in it. 1. Erasing National Identity: Globalists weaken nation-states by flooding them with mass immigration that ignores cultural or linguistic ties. Canada’s 500,000 annual immigrants, often from vastly different backgrounds, dilute shared values, making “Canadian” a hollow term. Europe’s seen this—France and Germany grapple with fractured societies from unchecked migration. The goal? A rootless population loyal to global institutions, not nations. 2. Dividing the Populace: Unity is a threat, so globalists pit us against each other—men vs. women, rich vs. poor, white vs. non-white. DEI quotas and gender ideology in schools, like forcing pronouns, fuel resentment and alienate parents. The Liberals’ obsession with identity politics ensures Canadians are too busy fighting to see their freedoms slip away. Divide and conquer, repackaged as progress. 3. Nonsensical Regulations to Confuse: Absurd rules train us to accept contradictions, eroding our grip on truth. COVID’s mask-on, mask-off restaurant rules defied logic, yet we complied. Now, men’s washrooms in federal buildings stock menstrual products, demanding we deny biology. This “doublethink” breaks rational thought, making us pliable. When nonsense becomes normal, control is easy. 4. Disarming the Population: An armed populace can resist; a disarmed one can’t. Strict gun laws, like Canada’s C-21 bill and 2020 assault weapon ban, target law-abiding citizens—hunters and sport shooters—while criminals, who ignore laws, stay armed. Australia’s 1996 buyback gutted civilian gun ownership; Europe’s tight restrictions did the same. In Canada, even duck hunters face confiscation, giving police and military unchecked power. This isn’t about safety—it’s about ensuring no one can challenge the state. 5. Controlling Movement with EVs: The Liberals’ 2035 EV mandate, tied to Carney’s net-zero fetish, restricts mobility. EVs cost $65K vs. $40K for gas cars, and with only 30,000 chargers (2 million needed), rural Canadians lose range in -30°C winters. The push for bikes or public transit mirrors Europe’s 15-minute cities, where movement is monitored. Less mobility means less resistance. 6. Digital Currency to Track: Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), like Canada’s proposed digital dollar, let governments track every penny. Spend “wrong”—like supporting the Freedom Convoy—and your account gets frozen, as we saw in 2022. China’s social credit system already punishes dissent by cutting off banking. CBDCs hand Ottawa that power, turning free citizens into financial hostages. 7. Censorship to Control Thought: Free speech fuels resistance, so globalists push censorship via “hate speech” laws like Bill C-63, which threatens jail for vague offenses. Protecting “children from harmful content” becomes a pretext to silence dissent, as seen in the UK’s arrests over “offensive” posts. Platforms like X face deplatforming pressure. Control what we say, and you control what we think. 8. The Endgame—Global Control: These steps—erasing borders, dividing us, confusing logic, disarming citizens, restricting movement, tracking spending, and silencing speech—create a dependent, obedient population. The World Economic Forum’s “own nothing, be happy” is the blueprint. Canada’s immigration surges, gun grabs, and digital ID pushes align with it. When nationhood and freedom vanish, global elites rule unchallenged. This is by design, not accident. The Liberals, with Carney’s globalist vision, are selling out Canada for centralized control. We must defend our culture, reject division, keep our guns, and demand free speech. Truth, freedom, and Canada still matter. #ResistGlobalism

Hypothesis: we’ll look back on mass migration as being worse for Europe than WW2 was. Europe recovered quickly from WW2, because each country remained high-trust and homogeneous. But you can’t just rebuild your way out of internal ethno-religious fractures.

What is a good cryptocurrency in 2025? 💎 Decentralized: BTC, ETH, SOL & ADA Scalable: SOL, SUI, APT & NEAR Fast: SOL, SUI, APT & NEAR Well-governed: ADA, DOT, ICP & APT Economically sound: ETH, SOL, APT & NEAR These are only from top 30; there are many more gems out there: 🧵 Decentralized: Decentralization exists on a multidimensional spectrum; it is not a binary! From network topology to governance & politics, decentralization should be measured across multiple metrics, making it a complicated exercise For the purpose of this list, we are looking purely at network topology, where combining validator counts, Nakamoto Coefficient & the "cost of attack" serve as the primary measures ETH is the clear winner in decentralization here! 👑 When it comes to all of these decentralization metrics, it has the highest validator counts & the highest "cost to attack". Except for the Nakamoto coefficient, which ADA ended up leading in! Scalable We kept this one simple: Any chain that is able to exceed a max theoretical capacity of 10k TPS wins here This is using a simple 1 to 1 value transfer for the purpose of comparison The winner in scalability is NEAR! 👑 Thanks to its sharded design, it can scale to 100k TPS & beyond! Fast Sub-second block times are the new normal; if a blockchain does not meet this criterion, they are slow! SUI is the winner in speed! 👑 Overtaking SOL by a very narrow margin, as both chains represent the cutting edge in parallelized blockchain design Well-Governed On-chain governance/stakeholder governance is the only way we preserve decentralization into the future What is the point of a decentralized blockchain if the rules of the system can be changed in a dictatorial fashion So for this category, we looked at the maturity of the implementation of on-chain treasuries, proposal mechanisms & other checks & balances DOT takes the win on governance! 👑 DOT's governance design has been one of the best for years now. In particular, how stake is weighted based on time locked, along with the additional checks & balances present Economically Sound This might be my most unpopular take here, but the ideal economic design for a blockchain is a low tail inflation plus a high fee burn As this guarantees security during periods of low economic activity, unlike a fixed supply cap While being more scarce than a fixed supply chain during periods of high economic activity, due to the fee burn exceeding the inflation rate. That is what makes it more economically sound under all scenarios The winner in economics is SOL! 👑 A difficult & probably a controversial choice, as I could easily also have justified picking ETH as the winner in this category based purely on the current numbers The main reason I chose SOL instead is due to ETH's distinct lack of L1 scaling, as I see the fee value of a high-throughput network far exceeding that of a chain without that utility. Based on today's numbers, ETH should win, but this is an evaluation of the design, not only the current state of the network Another minor detail here is that SOL does not burn the priority fee, mitigating the problem of unnecessarily inflating the fee during times of congestion Conclusion Nothing is perfect, despite what maximalists of all chains want you to think. What is "best" depends on what we prioritise & in what order The "ideal" chain would win in all of these categories, but that is not realistic in a highly competitive market that is innovating at a breakneck pace As these teams prioritize different aspects of the design over others, there is a correct choice in terms of who "wins" this cycle. Speed has been one of the key factors over the last year, not scalability per se Explaining the dominance of purely parallelized chains over more sharded designs. Economics & governance have taken more of a back seat, but we can see that is starting to change Contrary to much of, if not more cynical, public sentiment, decentralization is still respected, as most of the top chains meet these criteria. Nothing is perfect, but decentralization is clearly still valued Moving forward, we want all chains to be as decentralized, scalable, fast, well-governed & economically sound as possible 🕊️ That is the fruition of the early cypherpunk dream: Utility drives change; that is the true value of our movement! 🔥

I was asked by @notontweetter if I would write a roadmap post. As a first step towards running away from the challenge, I sent him a link to Kaspa’s research forum L1<>L2 category and politely asked him if he had read all the posts yet. Well, he returned the favor and came back a few hours later with this brilliant AI podcast generated by @NotebookLM after he fed it with all the relevant posts. I think the podcast is scarily accurate. I only felt like it rounded some edges in areas we actually haven't expanded on enough yet. Also, it runs through complex pseudocode too fast at times. But overall it was really accurate and even entertaining, at least for me ;) tl;dr if you’re interested in Kaspa’s based zk rollups design, listen to this thing
