''If you are Rojavai, Bashuri, Bakuri or Rojhalati - there is no difference - Long Live Kurdishness''
You can't kill a people who wants to live. Not by military force, or by assimilation policies, because new generations will grow, learn, and tell the history.
This is Matoo from Kermashan, a Kurdish rapper whose music is about Kurdish identity, culture, and Kurdistan.
He is part of a growing generation of young people from Kermashan who are choosing to rap in Kurdish, using music to preserve their language, tell their people's story, and express their aspiration for freedom and a free Kurdistan.
No amount of military force or assimilation can erase a people who continue to speak their language, celebrate their culture, and pass their history on to the next generation.
