Field work should not slow down billing. But for a lot of #energy and oilfield service teams, it does. When crew time, equipment usage, and job details are late, incomplete, or disconnected, invoices get delayed and job costs get harder to trust. Journyx helps close that gap by getting clean time data from the field into billing. That means connecting the work happening in the field to the right customer, project, PO, or work order before invoices get held up. Cleaner data in. Faster invoices out. #EnergyOperations #OilfieldServices #Invoicing #JobCosting #LaborTracking #ERP

The greatest transfer of wealth in human history is happening right now. Quietly. Without headlines. From people who trust the system to people who understood it was broken. You still have time. Not much. But some.

Field time should do more than feed payroll. For energy and utility companies, labor data can support CapEx reporting, project cost visibility, contractor validation, and audit trails. Journyx helps teams turn field time into defensible labor cost data by tracking work against the right projects, jobs, activities, and cost codes. #CapEx labor tracking built for complex energy and utility projects. #ProjectTimeTracking #Utilities #OilGas #Energy #Compliance

I hear people say, "Should I have kids when it's clear I'm never gonna be able to afford it?"
I have never once in my life encountered someone expressing this sentiment. Either I live in quite a bubble, or Ezra Klein does.

What is funny is that people use model as it was an arbitrary thing. It is not. It is the true description of how Bitcoin behaves mathematically. It is not some random guy opinion, it is a true description, soon officially published in a science journal, of how Bitcoin has behaved so far.
the power law model should be renamed or revised to reflect the unpower law, btc spends more time below the avg than above it. as depicted from this model. Reminder; All models break.

Yesterday, the Census Bureau published a county-level map of air-conditioning in the US. It's basically as one expects. The mountainous areas, and places on the West Coast, which is mostly mild year-round.

What's one thing that operators or leaders should rethink when it comes to managing time and labor data? Journyx’s Curt Finch joined Casey Thames on the Digital Doers podcast to talk about why time tracking is really about better visibility, cleaner project data, and making work easier for teams in the field. Video Transcript: Surveillance is the wrong frame. If you think about it or talk about it in that way, you're going to get bad data and you're going to miss out on all the value. That's the number one thing. And the other one would be, there's a prediction mechanism where you can figure out well in advance that a projects going to go haywire. You don't have to wait until it's haywire. You can see it. When you've spent 20% of the effort and only gotten 10% of the work done?, you're not going to catch up. #TimeTracking #FieldOperations #LaborData #ProjectManagement #Energy

Field crews don’t work from desks. Workforce systems should reflect that. Journyx Field Service Time Tracking helps organizations improve visibility into labor activity while making time capture easier for crews in the field. • Geofencing: Helps validate time against the correct job location and helps reduce manual verification later. • Job Start/Stop Tracking: Captures labor closer to when work actually happens, improving accuracy and operational visibility. • Crew Entry: Allows supervisors or crew leads to enter time for entire teams, helping simplify workflows in the field. Built for mobile crews, changing job sites, and project-based operations. #FieldServices #ProjectTimeTracking #Energy #Utilities bit.ly/4uh92e1

What is defensible labor data, and why does it matter for utilities? For utilities managing capital expansion, labor data is no longer just a payroll record. It supports project accounting, compliance documentation, audit preparation, contractor oversight, and capital cost justification. As projects grow across crews, contractors, work orders, and job sites, “good enough” time tracking can create gaps in visibility. The real challenge is not just knowing that hours were worked. It is being able to show where labor went, which projects consumed it, and whether costs were allocated correctly. Our latest blog breaks down why defensible labor data is becoming more important for utilities during capital expansion and how better project time tracking can support more accurate reporting. NetSuite’s native time tracking functionality works well for many organizations, especially when basic time entry and ERP connectivity are the primary goals. But field operations introduce a different level of complexity. Crews move between jobs throughout the day. Labor needs to tie back to projects, work orders, and approvals accurately. Reporting requirements become more operationally complex. That’s why many field-heavy organizations pair NetSuite with a more purpose-built project time tracking solution designed around how crews actually work in the field. We broke down some of the most common challenges and considerations in our recent blog: bit.ly/4uaGQt5 #FieldTeams #ERP #NetSuite #Integration

I think this is a joke. I hope this is a joke. This is a joke, right?
Central Park is great, but it takes up a lot of space and isn’t utilized to its full potential. That’s why I worked with McKinsey on a plan to make it a state of the art data center, complemented by rooftop parking and nuclear power. We can still build beautiful things.

Kakivik partnered with Journyx to implement a robust, field-capable solution for time and equipment tracking. As a result, this #energy company has seen: • Accelerated cash flow through faster billing and fewer approval delays, they are now able to generate invoices 4 days sooner than historically • Greater accuracy in time and cost allocation—critical for project profitability • Reduced administrative burden by eliminating duplicate entry and manual processes • Improved compliance with complex labor rules and customer reporting requirements • High user adoption, even among mobile and hourly field teams 👉 Read the case study to see how this was achieved bit.ly/49SLW55 #CaseStudy #Energy #TimeTracking #SageIntacct
