The report, released today, was based on survey results from 12 major telecoms companies, including network operators, internet service providers and vendors. Key findings included:
✅ 75% have validated science-based targets
🚗 50% have fleet transition targets
♻ 70% identified renewable energy transition as the largest driver for operational emissions decrease to day
🌳 90% identified green skills gaps as a barrier to sustainability
Seven 4G mast upgrades are now live across Wales, giving local people & rural communities better mobile coverage.

This significant milestone marks an important step in the UK’s #ProjectGigabit mission to achieve 85% gigabit coverage by 2025 & nationwide by 2030.
Social tariff take-up doubles in a year 📈
More people than ever are benefiting from cheaper broadband and phone packages.
But millions of eligible customers are still missing out on savings, with deals starting from around £12 a month.

Take-up of social tariffs increased to 380,000 in September 2023, up from 147,000 a year earlier,
The graph shows that BT has the highest social tariff take-up (72%), followed by Sky (13%), Virgin Media (6%), Vodafone (4%), Others (4%) and KCOM (1%).
