Pathetic response from a Carney minister whose marching orders seem to be, never take responsibility for any damned thing.
Michael Chong in QP today and Marc Miller's response: "Reports indicate that the Palestinian representative in Canada met with the CMHR during the development of its upcoming Nakba exhibit. This should be a Canadian museum, for Canadian human rights stories, not foreign agendas. The museum is a crown corporation reporting to the heritage minister. Is the minister aware of these meetings? Does he consider these meetings appropriate? And will he delay the exhibit's opening pending a full investigation?" Marc Miller: "Suffice to say that I am aware of these allegations, but I think the member would join me in saying that it is not the place of the minister or anyone in this House to dictate museum policy and what is curated and what is not."

There’s something sad about a Canada that has allowed its relationship with the United States to deteriorate so badly that “Carney got 90 seconds with Trump!” is a top Globe headline.

The Carney government offers Canada’s Jewish community meaningless words while enabling the antizionist hate movement through selective silence and tolerance, as seen in this federally funded institution operating outside its mandate to provide a platform for antizionist revisionist propaganda with no counterpoint views tolerated.

Worth sharing again. It’s an excellent read.

This is a truly worthy cause. It's the 2026 campus version of David vs Goliath. The powerful but stupid philistine giant in this case, like the biblical Goliath, is trained to crush defenders of Israel - and that is what it tried to do. This courageous David refuses to die.
Support GoFundMe to Shed Sunlight on Institutional Academic Anti-Semitism open.substack.com/pub/paulfi… The GoFundMe is now over $19,000. A former professor with no legal team has raised nearly $20,000 from ordinary people to challenge institutions represented by at least seven lawyers. They have spent well over one million dollars. That tells me one thing: People are paying attention. $25,000 is the goal. The purpose is simple: sunlight. For those who haven't been following -- and nobody's been following because nobody cares, least of all the journalists' NGOs -- Hamas and Islamic Jihad have been steadily releasing death notifications for one "journalist" after another, listing them invariably as fighters and commanders in the organizations' ranks. It's dozens now. Maybe more. But the "Israel targets journalists" meme is forever. The facts will never penetrate the thick fog of ideological confirmation bias that has overtaken the NGO and activism world and its journalistic arms in the mainstream media. Literally no one cares about whether journalists were actually hunted down by Israel, as it was depicted by @pressfreedom and others, or whether Hamas used fake "journalist" claims to protect combatant commanders, counting on a global NGO and media ecosystem it knew was looking to confirm its biases. No one will examine these falsehoods or report on them in a visible way because no one cares about the wellbeing of the real journalists, who are desperately endangered when combatant commanders are labeled "journalists" -- and even the world's major journalist advocacy groups decide to play along.
🧵FAKE Gaza Journalist Alert: Helmi Al-Faqawi is listed by @pressfreedom as a journalist killed by the IDF at a "reporter's tent" at Nasser Hospital. But PIJ confirmed he was a commander—he used the hospital as a base. The 14th fake journalist outed in the last few weeks. 1/

Have a look at this one trying to justify terrorism. Sure a woman was hit with a sledgehammer, but she walked away!
No spines were shattered at Filton. The officer walked unaided from A&E. Later a small, hairline fracture to the transverse process (the bony projection that sticks out from the side of a vertebra) was identified & the officer was advised to take paracetamol. Truth matters.

Would you run into your local Chinese takeout screaming “hands-off Taiwan” to the counter girl? Go to Brighton Beach and scream at random Russians about Ukraine? No? That would be racist you say? Then stop telling Jerry Seinfeld and other Jews to “free Palestine”.

This kid was part of a police-Muslim outreach program, as featured in The Star in 2013. “Nearby, 6-year-old Zara Jabbi talks excitedly about seeing the police cars.” Math checks out.

Without batting an eye the BC Premier invites someone to BC … evidence now suggests he was refused entry to US because of ties to terrorism… turns out this referee is also antisemitic. A Premier who is keen to signal his virtue but doesn’t give a shit about protecting BCers.
Mr. Artan would be welcomed and celebrated in British Columbia for what he’s overcome and where he is today. Let’s have him referee in Vancouver.

Colonialism is bad, right? Wrong. The Aztec Empire ran sacrifice at industrial scale. Excavations of the Huey Tzompantli, the skull rack next to the Templo Mayor, have uncovered hundreds of skulls of men, women, and children. Spanish eyewitnesses described tens of thousands. The Aztecs fought "Flower Wars" whose purpose was capturing live victims for the altar. Hearts were cut out of living people. Subject peoples hated Aztec rule so much that Tlaxcalans made up most of Cortes's army. The conquest was largely an indigenous uprising against an indigenous empire. The sacrifices ended under Spanish rule. India: burning a widow alive on her husband's funeral pyre. British records from Bengal alone documented thousands of cases between 1815 and 1828. The British, with Indian reformers like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, banned it in 1829. When priests told General Napier it was sacred custom, he answered: my nation also has a custom, we hang men who burn women alive. You follow yours, we will follow ours. India: Thuggee cults murdered travelers by the tens of thousands over centuries as offerings to Kali. It was a hereditary profession. William Sleeman's campaign in the 1830s wiped it out. Slavery was a universal indigenous institution. Dahomey and Ashanti were built on slave raiding and sold captives for a thousand years to Arab traders before any European ship arrived. Pacific Northwest tribes held up to a quarter of some village populations as slaves and killed them ceremonially at potlatches. The Comanche ran a captive-raiding economy across the Southwest. What colonizers introduced after 1807 was the first attempt in history to abolish slavery globally. The Royal Navy's West Africa Squadron spent fifty years hunting slave ships and freed about 150,000 Africans. African kings protested. The King of Bonny complained that abolition was destroying a trade ordained by his gods and priests. The Dahomey kingdom's "Annual Customs" beheaded hundreds of captives and slaves every year to honor dead kings. Documented by European visitors for two centuries. It ended when France conquered Dahomey in 1894. Sailors called Fiji the Cannibal Isles. Chief Ratu Udre Udre kept a stone for every victim he ate. His pile holds nearly 900. Shipwrecked sailors were killed and eaten. Within a generation of missionaries and British administration after 1874, the practice was gone. Nigeria: In parts of Igboland, newborn twins were left in the bush to die and their mothers ostracized or killed. Missionary Mary Slessor spent decades in Calabar rescuing abandoned infants until the practice collapsed. Indigenous genocide of indigenous people. In 1835, two Maori tribes invaded the Chatham Islands and slaughtered the Moriori, whose own law forbade them to fight back. They killed, enslaved, and ate them. The Moriori population fell from about 2,000 to barely 100. No European did this. British colonial law ended it. Add headhunting in Borneo, the Philippines, and Nagaland. Female infanticide in India and Polynesia. Foot binding in China, dismantled partly by missionary campaigns. Every one of these ended under pressure from the colonial powers we are taught to treat as history's unique villains. Colonialism was not charity. The Belgian Congo was a horror, conquest was for profit, and rule was without consent. But the ledger has two sides and one has been erased. Pre-colonial societies practiced slavery, human sacrifice, widow burning, infanticide, and genocide, because cruelty is not a European invention. The first civilization that tried to abolish these practices worldwide is the one you were taught to be ashamed of. If "indigenous" means innocent and "colonizer" means guilty by definition, that is not history.

Palestinians have a feeling that the world has finally woken up and will right the wrong by dismantling Israel and constructing Palestine. They cannot be more delusional. In fact, the world today is furthest away it has been from international law, ethics and morals. The post WWII world that was hoped to be as such, failed, because while America was powerful, it was not strong or patient enough to turn the world into one of law and order. With the end of the world of international law and organizations comes the age of transactional global relations. Everyone for their own. What Palestinians mistake as the world’s sympathy and support for them is in fact antisemitism and jealousy of Israel, independent of Palestinians. Take Iran and Turkey, both professed champions of Palestine. Neither one is fighting for a sovereign and independent Palestine, but for a Palestine that’s under their thumb. Just look how Iran rules Lebanon and Turkey rules Syria. Iran and Turkey have imperial schemes for the region and perhaps the world and political Islam is their best tool for cross border expansion. The reason why Israel is the best bet for Arab countries that are useless and cannot behave as sovereign states is because their sovereignty is in Israel’s interest. Israel is strong enough to make Iran and Turkey kneel, but not big enough or willing to construct an empire. Beyond the borders of Mandate Palestine, Israel has no ambitions or schemes. I know Arab propaganda teaches you Greater Israel is from the Euphrates to the Nile and that this is inscribed at the entrance to the Knesset, but this is false. Go to the Knesset and look for the inscription. You’ll find instead a copy of the Israeli Declaration of Independence, in Eretz Yisrael, the Hebrew name for British Mandate Palestine. By going with Israel instead of Turkey and Iran, for the price of Palestine, Arabs can save the Levant, North Africa, Iraq and the Arabian Peninsula from Turkish and Iranian imperial greed and schemes. This is how smart nations think, especially ones that could barely construct three or four functioning states out of 21. Think before you respond. Don’t come to me with Palestinian rights, Gaza and genocide. Global affairs in a lawless world is about making the best out of a weak hand, not committing suicide for the sake of an imagined past in a resourceless and tiny piece of land. I understand that if you’re Palestinian, you’ll say that your grandparents were forced to abandon their land. As Lebanese and Iraqi, my grandchildren will say their grandfather was forced to abandon his ancestral land in Iraq and Lebanon and migrated to America in pursuit of a better life. This is the story of humanity since human migration started out of Africa. People are not wedded to land. They’re designed to seek interests, and insisting on Palestine is like banging one’s head against a wall. Don’t let the cheering of the world’s crazies, from Hollywood to UN rapporteurs, fool you to keep doing it, thinking it’s possible. Think of your interests, not with your emotions.

Canada's New Social Media Ban is NOT About Your Children | Here's What They're NOT Telling You Canada just announced the Digital Safety Act — a social media ban for anyone under 16. Most Canadians think this is about protecting children. It isn't. To enforce a social media ban, every single Canadian will have to prove their age by attaching government-approved ID to their social media accounts. That's not child protection. That's a digital ID. And once you're verified on one platform, that verification follows you everywhere — linking every account you own under your real identity. But it gets worse. This isn't a standalone policy. This is the missing piece that connects Bill C-9, C-22 and C-8 into a complete surveillance and censorship system. Bill C-9 defines what you can and cannot say online. Bill C-22 forces platforms to save your data for up to one year. Bill C-8 gives the government the power to cut you off the internet entirely. The digital ID created by this social media ban is what connects all three. And they're selling it to you as child protection. Don't be fooled. All these bills are interconnected — and this is the last piece of the puzzle. youtube.com/live/tiwBDgstTo8…
