Found: there is a min distance from the "floor" hardcoded in the engine, and it's not 0. So the character capsule will always be about 2cm from the floor.

One of the things I started using a lot more is the Dispose pattern. Makes it easier to manage resources. For example if you need to listen for several events you can add disposables to a list and dispose it all together.
