The Conservatives couldn’t wait to mothball the Teesside site.

I worked with US forces for three years in Iraq. They worked closely with many countries in the coalition of the willing to depose a dictator. I was part of the team at the UK handover of Basra - the last flight out went to Teesside airport!

civilian contractors alike were glad of their allies and all operated together with great respect. I worked with good people and had an admiration for the values and dedication that were common.
I wonder where that America is now and where my friends are.
