I like to walk down the street and think of every person I see: “They are on their way to greatness.”

I don't know what to tell you guys. We have to expand the Court. If we don't expand the Court, no liberal policy will be allowed to exist for the rest of our lives. That's why Republicans stole the court, that's why rich people pay for justices. Govern yourselves accordingly.

I mean, if they asked for better terms, Netflix would've probably just canceled the project.

Apple's new AR goggles may be kind of shrug worthy as a consumer tech device (for now), but they will be very useful in manufacturing and industrial settings. For instance, hands free, real-time training.

That being said, that's a general AR use case and not an Apple specific one. Enterprise, manufacturing, and industrial AR solutions been in the works for a while. May not be quite so snazzy and fresh as Apple, but, for those sectors, doesn't need to be.

Apple is not typically first with these kind of products. And these arguments of "well, other company does XYZ for less" are valid. BUT . . . when Apple enters a product segment, it tends to validate that segment. Brings it to the mainstream zeitgeist.

You'd figure that the billions up billions the industry at large has invested would pay off at some point. But even the baby steps are two forward and three back.

To be clear, at this time and for the foreseeable future, there does not exist any AI model or technique that could represent an extinction risk for humanity. Not even in nascent form, and not even if you extrapolate capabilities far into the future via scaling laws.

A news organization's job is not to MAKE news. It's to report news. Journalism 101: never make yourself the story.
Replying to @brianstelter
"You do not have to like the former president's answers, but you can't say that we didn't get them," Licht tells staffers, many of whom are angry about the town hall. "Kaitlan pressed him again and again and made news. Made a LOT of news." And "that is our job."

Yup, @Google Bard does a pretty great job at coding tasks now. Code generation, code explanation (try pointing to a repo!), fixing code bugs, and even giving a source citation where applicable. blog.google/technology/ai/co… I even got COBOL back:
