The MDF storage cluster is undergoing routine annual maintenance today. Data may be unavailable temporarily, but we will be back soon!
Current status: 🟥 storage offline
MDF will undergo a significant redeployment of its core services starting tomorrow (Feb. 2) at 10a CT. Service disruptions are possible. We'll have things back running as soon as possible. 🦾
🟢 All services are good. Downtime was limited to a few minutes here and there in the early afternoon. Please proceed with publishing your data. 😎
MDF is undergoing a planned storage system upgrade today. The service is expected to be down starting at 9a with fully capabilities restored by ~10a CT.
MDF is working on a number of service upgrades. You may temporarily notice certificate errors or DNS resolving issues today as new DNS records propagate.
We are rolling out a quick patch that fixes a bug that made a number of our older datasets indexed from other services unavailable. This should take about an hour to complete.✨
If you notice any datasets with links not resolving, please ping us!
Did you know you can create a Google Scholar profile for your research group?
While GS is mostly used to track individual metrics, this process allows you to track and highlight team and project metrics.

Tomorrow we'll be kicking off a special month of content and community building as part of #MaterialsDataMonth as we ramp up to #MRS2022. During the month, we will showcase 1) just how much impact materials and chemistry data are already having.
Manual segmentation of X-Ray CT images can take a long time and may be ambiguous. Here, we trained NNs to segment such images automatically. We hope this opens new possibilities to understanding 3D dendritic growth in materials and automating analyses.
