No longer active on twitter! Productive parallel programming in Python: Use Parsl to create parallel programs composed of Python functions & external components
Does anyone else like to save screen shots of "first times" that something worked or you reached a milestone? There are a ton of workflow tools out there, but tonight is the first time I got a @ParslProject workflow running in the @FluxFramework operator! Tiny wins... yay!🥳
Since 2017, the Parsl project has helped countless scientists scale their research up to the world's most powerful computers. New grants from @NSF and @ChanZuckerberg will help it enter a new phase of sustainability, community, and outreach.

A new Parsl blog post is out based on a Parsl/funcX Fest talk:
An overlay architecture based on in-memory content delivery for funcX in edge-fog-cloud
by Dante D. Sánchez-Gallegos, Alfredo Barron, J. L. Gonzalez-Compean (Cinvestav Tamaulipas)

This was such a well organized workshop on amazing topics. 23 ppl in person 70 virtual means that the workshop reach was ~3x! The virtual/in person talks were seamless. Reminder to please consider using Zoom like @ParslProject, as some are still unable to gather safely.
Parsl & funcX Fest is now up to 30 user/developer/tech talks over 2 half-days, next week in Chicago or virtual
See what people are doing with Parsl & funcX and what's happened recently, and tell us what should come next

Are you wondering how you can access computing resources like campus clusters or DOE supercomputers to do your research in more simple ways or in becoming part of a very fun and welcoming community? Join Parsl & funcX Fest starting tomorrow. 🤓🚀

Yep. 😀 @funcx, @ParslProject, and @globus are good friends. In particular, @funcx uses Parsl's provider interface and Globus Flows is well integrated with @funcx already.
I'll be presenting at this one!
@ParslProject has been the backbone of most of my HPC projects for years, and really grown from a research code to something that many others rely on.
I would have liked this meeting to be called FunkFest, but that name is already taken, with the slogan "Good music. Good people. Good times." Our slogan, therefore: "Good functions. Good people. Good times."
💥 Hybrid event alert 💥 The 4th Parsl & funcX Fest is coming up Sept 13-14!
This will be a hybrid meeting (in Chicago & via Zoom) held over 2 days. The program includes 26 talks & registration is free 🙌: bit.ly/3AKTiGQ.
