Another $30 million has been announced for high-speed rail, yet the government still hasn't completed the feasibility study that should determine whether the project makes sense in the first place.
That's not planning.
That's politics driving priorities.
While Albertans worry about health care, education, affordability, and a $9.4 billion deficit, government continues chasing headlines and asking taxpayers to carry the risk.

You can’t make this stuff up. Danielle Smith has appointed right-wing academic Jack Mintz to chair a panel that will look into the pros and cons of separatism. Mintz has previously argued that “Albexit” makes sense. And, Smith wants us to believe she’s opposed to separation. 😡

Fire Chief should go take a visit to the ED - many fire codes likely violated.

This video is from last November.
In it, I asked straightforward questions about sole-source contracts, conflicts of interest and why authority over Crown land development was being concentrated in a department with limited to no experience in that area.
The answers never came.
Since then, we've seen ongoing controversies surrounding government contracts, recovery centres, surgical centers, court proceedings, investigations and RCMP search warrants issued involving individuals connected to these matters.
The questions were reasonable then. They are even more important today.
Accountability requires more than talking points.
Albertans deserve clear answers from their government.
Have a look and decide for yourself.

How does this happen? Explain the existing leadership and accountability framework within Alberta Health (a fully bureaucratic GOVT Health Org running everything now), that millions could be spent on erroneously renaming/rebranding EMS?

I've heard questions from Albertans and front-line workers about the recent Emergency Health Services rebranding, and I share their concerns.
On Monday, I directed EHS-Alberta to immediately halt the rebranding and return to the previous name and logo until further engagement can take place with Albertans and contracted providers. This needs to be done at the right time and with the right input.
I want to assure Albertans that no operational funding was spent by EHS-Alberta on this project. No additional changes have been made to uniforms, ambulances, or other assets since the launch.
I look forward to EHS-Alberta sharing more details about future engagement as they become available.

The man said that the switch from AISH to ADAP was the last straw for him and he was going to take his own life. He told us not to bother trying to stop him. We did anyway. I found his physical address in seconds, Zachary Weeks reached out to the RCMP. We did what we could. A few minutes ago we received word that the man did, in fact, succumb to suicide. I am gutted. We all are. Mostly because we're all terrified that this is going to happen again over the next few months as people become victims of this government's callousness and their own despair.
