The Liberals remain in a strong position, but our latest federal tracking shows a clear change in momentum. Approval is down. Optimism has softened. The race has tightened. The result: a more competitive political environment than we’ve seen in recent months. abacusdata.ca/liberal-moment…

TWICE AS NICE 🏆🏆 #NHLAwards Nick Suzuki surprised Cole Caufield with the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy before Caufield surprised Suzuki with the Frank J. Selke Trophy. 😂 The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy is awarded for sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct and the Frank J.Selke Trophy is awarded to the top defensive forward.

Or, put another, way: immigration was artificially boosting economic performance measures. Interesting that he would admit this!

👀 #Habs #Canadiens

Well, Canada is officially in recession. That should increase Liberal support if I am understanding this country correctly.

I want to thank all the boomers and the Liberal Party of Canada for all their hard work in the last DECADE of governance. You finally did it!

“Ottawa has recently signalled an openness to this type of “Fortress North America” approach. But Prime Minister Mark Carney has said he wants to see the U.S. lower its sectoral tariffs on automobiles, steel, aluminum, copper and wood products in return for moves toward deeper integration in key sectors.” Exact opposite of Davos approach. Closing off trade to other countries in a bid to curry favour with the hegemon. U.S. floats preferential tariffs for Canada, Mexico if they co-ordinate on external levies
