The informal poll results are in, & as I feared, most people are running ANOVAs in #R with functions that can give highly misleading (or flat out wrong) results. Follow along to see why using anova() and aov() is usually inadvisable & why you should be using car::Anova() π§΅
November is π’ month and theyβll be lots of nesting action. Keep your eyes peeled for broken egg shells near to waterbodies and help our friends to cross the road safely.
Please log all any turtles or action you see on turtleSAT to help us better manage Australian turtles.
Which function do you use for ANOVAs in #R?
I have a suspicion/fear that many people are doing ANOVAs "wrong" in R (I'll explain what I mean by "wrong," as well as the "right" way after the poll ends). #Stats#Statistics#Research

Look who showed up during a #turtle survey! @deborah_bower got this amazing picture of a Mountain Cow (tapir) that came down to the water for a swim in the Sibun River. #wildlifephotography#Belize
We went scuba diving to simply watch hicatee rather than trying to catch them. Seeing them underwater is magical, & I wish everyone could have that experience. They are incredibly beautiful, majestic animals, and we need to protect them before it is too late.
