With the complex environments of @beautifullight, we need to bring a solution for the grenade damage system and how we apply damage to the player. When an explosion occurs, we calculate the surface of your body exposed to the explosion, limb by limb. It's pretty precise and allows you to take cover behind strong elements, but won't work with smaller elements. The goal is to avoid the issue you might encounter in some games where your body is barely hidden by an object but still acts as 100% cover. Here, you will take damage proportional to your exposure and distance. It makes grenades more fair. One of the good side effects is that your friend's body can also work as cover, so yes, you can prone on a grenade to save the bro. 🫡
